So I was thinking, where do we go first after the breach and what companions do we pick up in what order? I know the breach happens at the Temple of Sacred Ashes in the Frostback mountains, that's the prologue and we meet up with Cassandra. But what after that? Do we head directly into Orlais? Or do we stay in Ferelden and go to the Hinterlands? The E3 demo showed the Inquisitor at level 7; early on in the game so maybe that is the second region would go to according to the story. And where and when do we meet such companions/advisors as the Iron Bull, Dorian, Solas, Cole, Cullen(probably in Ferelden but where/when in Ferelden?), Leliana and Scribbles(Name please?!)? I know the game still has a little over 3 months till release but it's fun to speculate. So what do you guys think?

I honestly don't know. We start in Ferelden since that's where the breach is (unless it somehow blasts us to Orlais) but I can't imagine the Orlais stuff is too late....so I have no idea. Maybe a big Ferelden part and a big Orlais part are open up first and you recruit the companions in each, and you go back and forth between them because maybe one is better for the lowest level, but gets a bit too hard, the first is good for the next chunk of levels but then gets too hard but oh now you're the right level to handle the other stuff in the other one!

And then you open up the other three big Areas.

Very hard to say what the area progression will be like. I personally think DA:I is going to be built and paced like Mass Effect 2.

P1. The Inquisition begins -> Breach Event, Induction. Small amount of freedom in objectives 'Fringe' tasks to assert the Inquisition's power.

P2. The Inquisition's power is Recognized -> Open exploration and questing limited perhaps only to your party and Inquisition level. There would probably be an organic curve of content, but most of it probably could be tackled in whatever order you wish.

P3. The Inquisition is Challenged -> Central conflict becomes clear(er), I anticipate going to a "Major" location like The Fade or Val Royaeux at this point.

P4. Tying up loose ends, climax and conclusion -> The 'Final Disc' if you go by old school Final Fantasy nomenclature. The threat is identified, and ready for justice, but you can faff about with side objectives too.

Sorry for the pathetic cop-out answer.

Scribbles(Name please?!)

I've taken to calling her Hypatia, but I'm into History.

I'm guessing it will follow the pattern of most BioWare games.

Intro > x amount of areas open up that you can go to in any order > mid event after completing half the areas > go to the remaining areas you haven't completed yet > final.

I think it will be like Origins hen it comes to visiting the different regions. We will survive the explosion and go to the first destination, then we can visit anywhere we like as long as it isn't quest locked.
