This is a question regarding my previous playthrough, I saved Irving and Got the Templar leader to respect me for it, back in camp the tranquil said both the templars and mages support me,

however in the end battle only the mages are available, bug or oversighT? or are the Templars gathering an all male cheer squad?

I dunno if theres a way to have the tranquil say that only the mages support you, because you pissed of the templars... cause otherwise it should be logical to have the templars as well, If you have not gathered the cult...

If you save the mages, you only get them for support in the battle. Gregoir, the templar leader, states that his templars will be busy restoring order to the tower, and now that the mages are saved, the treaty only obligates THEM to help. So while the templars are pleased with your actions, they're not going to assist you against the Blight.

I've read it's possible to totally blow it and get the support of neither, on the other hand.

So basically the tranquil is wrong, and it's just an oversight.... maybe they intended to have a neutral option first?, to get them both....similiar like normal dwarves and  legion dwarves mixed....

Or it might be, since the Templars do somewhat control where the mages get to go, that you do have the support of both... You have the mages as an army and you have the support of the templars to call that army.
