Hi,

 

I've recently learned about the lucky stone item available for players who upload a character via the Dragon Age Character Creator. I've tried downloading this character creator, but I'm having trouble with installation.

 

This pops up near the start of installation:

 

'Error opening file for writing:

 

\bin_ship\DAOCharacterCreator.exe

 

Click Abort to stop the installation,

Retry to try again, or

Ignore to skip this file.'

 

If I choose to ignore, it immediately brings up a similar message for a different file.

 

I'm thinking this might have something to do with the fact that I got the game on Steam. Can anyone give me a hand?

I can't help with the CC installation issue, but obtaining the Lucky Stone promo item no longer requires an upload from the standalone CC. Most of the promo items, including the Lucky Stone, were made available a while back through this giveaway on old!BSN. (And there's also info on in the DA Wiki DLC entry.)

Heh heh, yeah, I had gotten those promo items, but only just noticed that the Lucky Stone was included. Thanks for your help anyway!
