Yup! Already pre-ordered for the PS4. Going half-sies on the PC version. Will probably get the X1 version at some point. :| I may have a problem.

At this point, day one buy is a definite no.  Whether I get it at all depends.

Still some info I'm still waiting to see as far as some class info especially ranger/rouge which I play the most in games.  Are the cities going to be alive and bustling, or static with just NPCs standing around like past DA games.  Those are a couple off the top of my head.  I'm also waiting to hear what one of my friends who I know is getting it has to say about it.

well if you won'T buy the game just because the cities are not alive enough..

sry but thats a very stupid reason, its not supposed to be AC man

I would understand if one has a valid complaints like choices not mattering much ( see DA:II end decision)

because thats one of the most important things in an RPG

Will I buy DAI?  Nope.  I'm here for Borderlands Pre-Sequel.  I'm in the correct place, right?  RIGHT?

:P

But its not me who Bioware needs to convince again

Yes, so asking this question on a forum of the most ridiculously hardcore, excited fans is a bit... redundant, surely?

Would anyone be posting here if they weren't at least thinking of buying the game?

Likely static. The gameplay demos at E3 showed static NPCs standing together just as is done in other Bioware games.

David Gaider has commented on it before:

http://forum.bioware...red/?p=16417890

There is also the question if DAI will even feature a city. So far no screenshot nor video has shown an actual city. With Halamshiral they have only shown a square with access road. And in the books they have conveniently closed off Val Royeaux.

Well that's disappointing to read, because they always said the engine was why they couldn't do it.  They get a new engine and pretty much say it's still not possible.  Well I'll just have to wait for info on some of my other concerns.  It's looking more like post release bargain if I get it.

DA2 is at the bottom of my list of Bioware games with Sonic Chronicles and I've played them all aside from SWTOR because it was an MMO.  ME3 was saved by DLC, but the vanilla game even if I ignore the ending still wouldn't be among my favorites.  So pre ordering is out of the question.

Well I guess if you ignore the parts of my post where I said I was waiting on information about the classes and some other things I guess you could somehow interpret what I said as I won't buy the game because of the cities.

The only thing that post says is they won't be doing cities like AC did with hundreds of people walking on every single street in the entire city.   They did say however if you get 360 or PS3 there will be less background people in the cities, because the systems can't handle it, but PS4 and One will have more.

Of course I will buy the game as soon as I find an half decent job where half of my wage doesn't go to pay the bills and the other half in food. Currently my pockets are dry so games are the first thing i cut out of my budget. Hopefully with the economy improving will also my purchasing capabilities. In the meantime will use YT to see the game.

I've pre-ordered the deluxe edition. I liked DA:2, sure it had things that annoyed me but then so did DA:O and while the ending of ME3 wasn't what I wanted, I thought it was okay (its hard to end something big like Mass Effect) and they did a good job with the Extended Ending.

Dragon Age 2 wasn't that bad. The cast was pretty nice (not you Anders. And forget you Fenris). I want some better looking places. Kirkwall was just this bland, brown, square series of battle arenas. The marketplace of High TOWN was a small little square off the edge of town. For a game that holds it's story in one place, you'd think they increase the art direction in it. The new cast is pretty terrible looking. I'm hoping they have some bright personalities to make up for the terrible modeling work (Cassandra, baby, what happened to your cheeks? You get hit swiped by Fenris or something? Warned you about Nightmare Mode)

That said, I'll most likely buy it. I never pre-order a game though.

Yes, already ordered mine :).

I know many disliked DA2 and ME3; however, I  still loved them. I liked the faster action in DA2, the characters, the story, but i didn't like the reusing of places. My husband, who does not play these games, told me when i made my disliked known stated "From what i have seen the game takes place over many years. Do you think that building, which you cleared out three years ago, was just going to sit there and not be used again?" This statement made me forget about the reused areas and I came to really like the game. For ME3 I loved it even to the end. The way my FemShep went was beautiful, only dislike was i had no idea what happened to most of my team. But like the OP stated..its not the hardcore fans that Bioware needs to reach.

And the gameplay demos of E3 have already shown us that NPCs will be standing around in the same manner as in other Bioware games. You can also see the same exact pattern in the screenshots. So in light of DG's comment and the media it is easy to conclude it is not just about people walking around on every single street in the entire city.

Oh god I liked Fenris until he started hitting on Isabela while she was in a relationship with my Hawke during party banter.

Cassandra looks much more in line with her character now.

Of course i will buy it. ME3 was great and DA2  - while not their best - still a good game.

I'd buy the game just for the companion NPC interaction as Bioware is the only one that does that really well in the AAA space.  I'd love for more developers to copy them though so that I had more games like that to buy.  As it is though, Bioware seems to have a monopoly on the party-based narrative RPG.  (There are of course some cool "old-school" Kickstarter RPG's coming out though that I'm excited about though.)  So yeah I'll buy the game as long as Bioware keeps doing that stuff.

As for others that felt burned by DA2 and ME3, I think it really depends on the reviews.  If professional and community reviews are good, then, yeah, the jaded empire will buy it too, despite any initial skepticism.  So I don't think resentment alone will cost Bioware in DAI.  It's resentment combined with bad reviews that would hurt them.  I think DA2 lost them pre-orders.  But I don't think it permanently cut off potential consumers.  It's important that DAI be good.  One thing's for sure: they given themselves enough time to make a good game.  We'll know in October what people think.  It's the game I'm looking forward to the most though.

I(as in this is my opinion based on my own preferences) found the ugliness of the female companions to be pretty disappointing.  The little quotes by the characters dealt the finishing blow and now I'm on the fence.

It has nothing to do with expectations or disappointments based on previous games either, as I felt DA2 was far more enjoyable than DA:O.  The presentation for DA:I just hurt my interest.

Already pre-ordered on the PSN.

This game was the main reason for getting a PS4, for me - when we still thought it was only "next-gen".

Will pre order digitally if possible by that time on Xbox One. Otherwise I will get the deluxe version, I always buy Bioware games with the intent to keep them.

I follow every piece of news, I've played DA2 and DAO dozens of times, I'm playing through DAO right now, I'm active on the forums and I'm subscribed to DAI youtube channels like LadyInsanity/AbiltyDrain/GamerMD/SW... sooooo...
