Yup.  But then I actually enjoyed DA2 (flaws and all), so I'm obviously not one of those "still very upset" people.

Exactly people will complain which is why I don't think it is a good idea for anyone to wait to buy the game based on user reviews. I am certain many users will rate DAI as low as possible for minor issues or simply because it is trendy to hate on Bioware and EA. The only way to judge a game fairly is to judge the game yourself without the baggage of disappointment for previous games. I believe that most people who can't stop talking about their disappointment in previous Bioware games and who right now don't trust them likely won't change their mind on the game at release. Some may have to come to terms with the fact they have already made up their minds and nothing can change this, unless the game miraculously is universally loved which it won't be, not with today's gamer expectations.

Well I generally don't use user reviews, I'll wait to see what my good friends think because they know what kind of things I like and are good at separating what they like or don't like from what I may like or not like. If I'm thinking about seeing a movie or going to a restaurant, and they go before me, I'd ask their opinions on those, why would a video game be any different.

If I do read use reviews I ignore anything below a 4 and anything over a 7, or the equivalent. Usually the middle reviews have the most information, pros and cons, not just hating or fanboy posts.

But I'm waiting one because of prior games I admit, but two because I don't know enough about too many things. Will these new large environments be active or just big empty space. What do the ranged classes look like, skill trees, crafting, are the cities lively or static like in past DA games, etc, etc , etc. I still have too many questions. What I've seen so far has not persuaded me to run out and spend sixty bucks preorder or day one.

Kind of related to the thread, and I thought it was pretty interesting.

ordometer-2014.jpg?w=1000&h=714

Here's a link to the article, which is mostly about Destiny's sales, but has information about how the authors come up with this information, mostly based off Pre-order trends of the last years.

The author estimates Dragon Age: Inquisition as EA's biggest title this year, selling 3-4million Worldwide. Unknown if this is exclusively launch week numbers or a longer timescale estimate, seems a little low if you ask me, but I'm in no position to say what would be a financial success for Bioware, only what would be an entertainment success for myself.

Important to note that this information is exclusively based off trend-watching and pre-orders, and given Dragon Age's almost lack of a strong reputation as an IP, the pre-order numbers might be lower than what would be expected in terms of Pre-order to Sale ratio. The game that sets the Benchmark (IE: the 100 score) is the best selling game of 2011-2013: Call of Duty Black Ops 2. (So by that extrapolation, DA:I would be expected to sell 67.7 copies per 100 Black Ops2 copies sold) And from what I understand, this does not count digital sales.

I am, I've always like Dragon Age, Origins being perhaps  my favorite RPG as far as story and characters and Dragon Age 2 while not as good as Origins was still pretty fun to play through at least for me. Inquisition is my most looked forward to game this year and I've already finished my pre-order. Looking forward to October.

I'm not pre-ordering the game. I won't be able to play it anyways since I wanted the game to be on PS4 and I don't own that console yet. The more I hear about this game, the less I want it. I read a bunch of info on the characters and so far, I'm not feeling it. Back when BioWare first announced DA2's characters and revealed some of their info, I was already sold. I just feel like some of the Inquisition characters are borrowing a lot of stuff from the former companions and so far, I feel like they don't have personalities on their own, that they're just cookie-cutter material. I'm thinking about following playthroughs online later once it's released and from there, maybe I'll purchase this game. It's the first time I'm not excited about a Dragon Age game at all... and it saddens me. I really wanted to hype this game more... I feel like I'm betraying someone...

Not sure if anyone else has this problem but I am actually buying two copies.  I pre-ordered my PC copy yesterday on Green Man Gaming for $45 (they had a 25% coupon that applied to everything in their store).  But I'll also get a copy for the Xbox One for my wife.  From prior releases I know our marriage can get a bit... tense immediately after a new Bioware release when we have to take turns playing.  :P

If you like RPG games and you have a PS4, then this game is a solid choice.

I don't know anymore.. maybe next year who knows . The game looks good. The Wither 3 is starting to look better.

The more they reveal about this game the less I like it. Lately it seems like BioWare is catering to a "certain group of fans "

instead of the loyal  fans that made Bioware the company it is today.-end of rant

Yup. Even when I don't like aspects of the games or get annoyed over glitches and bugs, the characters and story make up for it.

I've been a loyal Bioware customer since the Baldur's Gate days, but they're definitely on a downward spiral. I'll wait until I can get a good look at the actual game mechanics before I hand over my cash this time.

I wanna buy it, but I think I will wait a week or two... Sick of getting burned by pre orders. But from what I've seen I don't think that's going to be a problem with DA:I.

I've been a BioWare fan since 1999 when I first played Baldur's Gate, and yet I feel like Inquisition is going to cater to me perfectly.

I probably don't want to know who the "certain group of fans" you think they're pandering to is, though.
