Not "concerned" about any returning characters.  Only thing I've noticed were the appearance changes.  Some were better (ex. Merrill) and some were not as good (ex. Alistair) but overall things were fine.  Especially cameos seem to be a lot less significant than crew members.  I get more excited about just seeing the returning characters.  Whether it's a small cutscene or several.  It's nice.  I think DA:I will run smoothly with all of those in the storyline.

I honestly want all of them to make an appearance at one point or another. Just a small mission or cameo each to let me know what they are up to. Especially Zevran and Isabella so my Inquisitor can bang them. Regardless of established romances or sexual orientations, ALL my Wardens and Hawke went there at some point or another. its tradition dammit!

Morrigan, because I'm concerned she'll turn into a creator's pet type character, where she's made too perfect and she's written to do a bunch of evil stuff, but we won't be able to call her out or punish her for it because she's the dev's chosen character.

I hold similar concerns for Leliana, though I'm less concerned because Leliana is a good guy, so it probably wouldn't be as grating as when special treatment is thrown at morally questionable characters.

Not to mention that Hawke will be making a cameo.

I am more interested to see who they have make reappearances in DA:I. As far as whom I would be concerned about, well Anders of course. Having a walking corpse going around would be very disturbing, I would have to rekill him.

Anders because I'm worried he might have gotten captured by the templars and made tranquil

I was glad to see Alistair in DA2 as King or as Warden, but I felt as if his confidence level still seemed to too shaky. We had helped harden his character after all? Under Eamon's tutelage (or Teagan's) "King Alistair" should have seemed less like the ****** he came across as in the Vicount's Keep. He was a tad better as Warden, but only barely. Virtually every other previously seen companion that has appeared was welcome in my eyes, in DA2 Nathaniel Howe ended up as my favorite cameo.

Of those confirmed to be taking part in Inquisition, I'm most concerned about Morrigan being cast in a villainous role. Really hope that doesn't prove to be the case! And will they please confirm Flemeth/Kate Mulgrew already?

Anora. I hope thew new engine is kind to her looks wise. I also hope she is in fact a good ruler alone or with Alistar. I'd hate for them to make her the "bad" choice to encourage Alistair as King choice. I also hope she isn't a villain if she was removed from the throne.

I don't want her to be perfect, but I'm afraid for her since she is a minor character compared to Alistar and they might just write her off or make her look bad to make Alistair look like a better King.

Zevran and Anders for pretty much the same reasons that people have already posted for them. Oh, and the Warden and Hawke too if they end up making an appearance. I modded both of them to hell, so if we don't get the chance to edit them at the beginning of Inquisition they're probably gonna end up looking monstrous.

Isabela, I know she is a rather crude, honest gal and all but she's supposedly still in a relationship with my MIA Hawke. Don't want to see Bioware having her sleep around like always.

What is it with Isabela that just because she is open with her sexuality so many call her a **** and how many STDs she has. She outright said she doesn't sleep with Sailors she doesn't ****** herself out (Gamlen tried) and she doesn't exactly look all that unsanitary.

Actually the bolded bit is still a part of Isabela's personality even when in a relationship. She is non-monogamous.

(Bring her along to meet Zevran if there any doubts. Also if she is in the party with Tallis during MotA she doesn't object to Hawke flirting with Tallis, and tells Tallis that there is enough of Hawke to go around, and 'you need only ask.')

Alistair.

As king I'd prefer his character was caught up doing things that a king should be doing, rather than roaming Thedas as some petty adventurer with a crown. I hope his cameo in DA:I is nothing at all like The Silent Grove, unless on one of the paths where he wasn't made king.

Alistair ignoring the Throne to the call of adventure sounds in-character to me. Maric was the same. I suspect Maric enjoyed fighting for and liberating Ferelden from the Orlesian pigs more than he enjoyed ruling it as King. Cailan tried and failed at being a great hero. So it runs in the family. Unless it's straight up case of 'I don't want to be King anymore, Anora' I won't mind if Alistair pops up every now and then with his hands dirty.

I had her around and she was considerate of my Hawke's feelings and redacted her offer after he said no.

Can't have her in a party with Fenris though as they constantly hit on each other, which I hope is an oversight by Bioware as even with an open relationship few would be ok with that.

I don't believe it was an oversight as she'll openly proposition Zevran, and the run in with Zevran takes into account whether or not Isabela is also involved romantically with Hawke. I think Isabela's inclinations are toward non-monogamy. Hawke can get Isabela to not go off with Zevran of course, but in that she's going along with what Hawke wants rather than actively choosing monogamy for herself.

Obviously but it sets a precedent that he's at least not comfortable with guys. If she's still in a relationship with him afterwards that should count.

Also, in my case at least, that was before they officially DTRed so when Isa made that offer it was still just a fling.

Concerned wouldn't be the right word. More like exasperation.

The fact that Leliana is back and in such a way that I probably won't be able to avoid her is so...annoying.

Oh, Maric hated being king. When he found out about the son he had with Fiona (presumably Alistair), he didn't want to raise him because he didn't want him to have all that pressure and so many expectations on him. That and competition for the throne with Caillen would get ugly, but mainly the prior.

Zevran. Not really concerned, more like... resigned? All the other Origins LIs are confirmed to come back in one way or another, but I won't be surprised at all if Zevran is nowhere to be found. Specially not after reading that he was supposed to make the trio with Isabela and Alistair in the comics but got nixed out because Varric again, sigh. Seems like Zev's either no one's favorite in the pit, or just not as important to the office as he is to his fans.

It's cool, though. I know he's still with my Warden, broken romance flags be damned (I do wonder how much this has might've skewed telemetry though), so it's whatever. If he doesn't show up, I'll know he and my Warden were just too busy doing their thing on the other side of Thedas to come play with the new hero. Big gaping hole in the sky to deal with, and all.

As others have mentioned, I'm mainly worried about my Hawke/Warden's LIs. I would really love it if Anders and/or Zevran made appearances, but there is about 0% chance of that happening. Also, I can definitely agree with Faerlyte in that I'm a little tired of Leliana. She's just not interesting enough, to me, to play such a large role in all three games. But maybe I just didn't give her enough of a chance in Origins because I was so busy just trying to romance the seductive elf with a passion for poetry and get through the game so I could catch up with everyone else.
