Please please let us save anywhere or anytime or I will die Bioware. Literally die

Like that time I finally killed the spider queen and then the game crashed. I died

Yes, it's been confirmed you will be able to save at any time.

I can't remember a BioWare game that didn't allow you to save anywhere you wanted. I don't see why Inquisition would be any different.

You've never been able to save during combat. I believe (s)he is talking about being able to save at any point during exploration or in the middle of a quest, instead of being bound to autosaves and checkpoints.

But then the question is redundant as that was always the case and there was never an indication they'd change that.

I would think - regardless of whether it's been confirmed or not - that the team wouldn't take that away from the gamers. The quick save button has saved my life and the life of every other gamer and they know that.

I do believe OP is talking about combat save, because OP mentioned killing the spider queen down in the Deep Roads. That means the OP was still fighting the other minions in combat when the game crashed. OP wants the ability to save while in combat. I do not know if any crpg that has done combat saves.

Combat saves would have to store a boatload more variables, wouldn't they? Unlikely.

After 22+ yrs of gaming. I cant think of any games off-hand that let you save while in combat. Maybe the Total War series of games.

Hitting the quick save button instead of the quick load button one second before being ripped to shreds by eight angry cliff racers.

For TES, what I hated about quicksaving in combat was these sneaking bugs when loading. Even if you are crouched and have the eye on the screen, enemies can still see you. So many deaths due to this @$&$*#@#@$*^#@$*&@#.
