I would love to see polyamorus relationships in games. I loved how Jade Empire allowed you to romance Dawn Star and Silk Fox. It would have been even better if female characters could also romance two people or the option for a bisexual romance was there i.e. sky and one of the female characters, rather than it just supporting male fantasy.
We are now allowing for the main character to sleep around in bioware games i.e. have a fling with Isobella (DA2) or Jack (ME@) in the middle of the game but then allowing you to move on to somone else, there always has to be only one locked in primary partner. Only one relationship and everything else is casual.
The closest you get is in DA:O where Zevran says he doesn't care if you have other relationships, although he does but argues it "for their sake." Even if you can try tricking the romance system by giving two people lots of gifts and avoid diologue with one or another character so they don't have a chance to be mad with you, the game mechanics still indicate you favor one of them.
I get poly would be harder to do in a game, especially as it would involve having at least two LI's that would be open to you being with another character, which means making that sexuality apply to two characters rather than 1 (unlike gay/lesbian where you only need one of each to have some representation) and this number is somewhat multiplied if you try and apply it for bisexual, lesbian, hetro male and hetro female romances, but at some point be nice to be able to have meaningful romantic relationships with more than one partner in game like some of us do in real life.
