My first playthrough of DA:O was with a City Elf who romanced Zevran.  When I played DA2, Zevran hit on my Hawke. I think that was due to a bug. It didn't upset me either way because I couldn't really imagine him being forever monogamous in my Warden's absence even if he still cared for her.  Besides that I was too busy thinking 'ugh, his redesign looks really rough'. With another character, maybe it would bother me a little more.

Well, considering my canon Wardens and Hawkes are single, I'd have no problems with it. 

 

 

Did they ever say what is and isn't canon?  last I heard you couldn't import and with Leliana being alive no matter what they seem to just be writting their own back history.

Dragon Age Keep will let you select many things to be your canon, including who your characters romanced, if they did at all.

God I really hope the devs read this as feedback and give us some dlc where we can romance her if she was never with the warden... The Leliana from the 14 min demo was amazing and someone I really want to romance

I would be confused, most likely. Since, y'know, the developers said there would be no romances with previously romanceable characters.

No kidding on asking Leliana how she survived the beheading.  One of the funniest situations I had was in Redcliffe Castle, I used walking bomb on Bann Teagan who proceeded to explode and then show up still living to talk to me seconds later.

The Devs didn't (and apparently still haven't, judging by their recent comments) figure out that by using the keep, you can determine whether or not she should be available to romance, so nobody would actually get mad if Leliana was romanceable in DAI, because they'd have had to tell the game she was available before the game even began.  They keep saying they didn't make her and Morrigan romanceable because people would get mad at them for not respecting their past choices, but if you tell the game you didn't romance Leliana (or Morrigan), allowing you to romance her would also be respecting your past choices.  The whole Keep thing is pretty new, and some folks have wrapped their heads around it quicker than others.  Hopefully in the future, whether it's a DLC, Expansion, or the next game, they'll figure out that it's absolutely OK and downright cool to let you romance characters you 'could' have romanced in past games, just so long as you actually didn't romance them, and the Keep knows that.  I'd certainly love to see Leliana become an LI in a future DLC, that would be awesome .

Maybe she can only flirt with you if Warden didn't romance her, that is if she is romanceable - she's not.

 

Anyway, I'd welcome the flirtation. Leliana is the most attractive (important) person in this game, to me at least.

In Awakening, I decapitated the First but after the battle he was talking to me in a cutscene but he was still decapitated with like blood and neck stump it was glorious
