Is it just me or is everyone in the inquisition hazel/brown eyed? Is it some kind of signature feature for the inquisition or something :P

Considering the majority of the world have brown eyes and considering hazel and amber included it's an overwhelming majority why the hell not?

Couldn't tell you though if that's the case.

Blackwall has glowing reddish/yellowish eyes that burn into your soul. But, why no blue eyes? I like blue eyes.

Isn't that because the majority of Earth's human population is Chinese though? Caucasian people have a good percentage of eye colors other than brown/black and most of the companions are Caucasian. I think it does show a pattern, just like how 3 are bald even though that seems to be rare in Thedas among the young (heck, there aren't even many older bald people).

I think you mean Asian, not Chinese.

No, I mean Chinese, since China is the largest country with the largest population and more people are Chinese than anything else.

They have the largest population, but they are not the majority of the world's population. The Chinese population is around 1.4 billion, while Earth is around 7 billion in total. They'd need over another 2 billion to be the majority of the world's population.

That might once have been the case but through globalisation gene pools mixed much more than ever before and the gene for brown eyes is very dominant.

Brown eyes especially including hazel and amber also are the most common eye colours among Caucasians as well.

And who says they are all bald? Solas seems to be type of person to be inconvenienced by hair and hence shaves it.

I don't mean that they are bald because their hair fell out, just that they are bald. It's an unusually high percentage (I only know one person who is young and shaves his head and I live in a modern world where its convenient), just like 100% brown eyes in different shades is an unusually high percentage especially when you consider how not racially diverse Thedas seems to be so there would be less genetic mixing.

Hence why I picked a guy with blue eyes to have a kid with.

Learned a little abount genetics in 4th grade...stuck with the idea I needed to have a blue-eyed guy if I was going to have any kids for the next 25 years.

Brown eyes in this game....kind of like how all the elves in DA2 were green eyed.

No no no. The shared feature of the companions is not eye color or follicle length. It's lips. It's the lipsquisition. Luscious lips everywhere.

It's real hard to tell in the new pics, but some people feel like they are hazel. I dunno. I really don't know if any of the companions have the eye color we think they have. Just look at Vivienne. Randomly she has blue eyes in one video.

I think something about DAI's light system in particular and then random development bugs/changes make eye/hair color really variable.

Am guessing that Morrigan and Flemeth will continue to have amber colored eyes as a unique feature.

Oh joy, arguing semantics on the internet. You never see that anywhere.

He likely meant plurality.  If he did, he was making a relevant point.

If he meant majority, he was mistaken about his facts.  Either way, he should want to know.

I was helping.

.... Back on topic......

Vivienne's eyes in the Lead them or Fall trailer looked blueish to me, or am I just insane?

starting at 56 seconds.

The only thing I wonder about is why on earth Leliana's eyes are suddenly brown.  :?  Seriously, I don't see a single reason for changing them.

If she had blue eyes, that would be... unexpected.

As a wise man stated in another eye color related thread aobut Vivienne

shes possessed by a fashion demon

In seriousness, it's probably just the lighting, an error, or maybe an addition to be added in the final game. I do hope for more variety in eye colors though. I'm a sucker for eyes and I like having people with different eye colors. I know it's not realistic but come on... Dragon Age is a fantasy rpg after all.

They were blue in one of the trailers. I remember it caused a bit of stir around here when it first came out. :P
