• Every Saturday I shall post a new prompt made by the "winner" of lasts week's prompt post. 


• People who want to participate should post a "fill" to this prompt using the media of their choice to the Varric thread (gifs, drawings, video, writing etc... the sky's the limit), and PM me a link to their post. You do not have to PM me if you don't want to be considered as an entry for the weekly "competition", though I encourage everyone to do so.


• Entrants are encouraged to tell me what they want their prompt to be should they "win" when they PM me.


• Prompts should be vague enough to allow for a wide variety of interpretations expressed through a variety of media types. 


• Users are allowed to have more than on entry.

ooo I have such a good idea but even Allen's mouse art makes my art look like mud 

Don't worry, this weekly prompt post is designed for artists of all skill levels. I actually created it with the intention of people submitting little things like party banters, ficlets, or doodles. People are of course encouraged to do more if a prompt really speaks to them, but it's in no way expected of submissions. The main purpose of these prompts is to have fun.   So draw away I say! I look forward to seeing it.

 

You also don't have to submit art if you don't want to. Fanfics, fanvids, interpretative dances etc... anything that you can create either on the computer, or post a photo/video of is fair game.

Varric is my guy, will be with my Dwarf Inquisitor from start to finish.  If he's a romance option, I'll be rolling female, even if they do make him bi, I personally don't see Varric being bi so he'll always be straight to me.  If he's not an option, I'll be male warrior.

Why is everyone wanting to make new threads?

Well I can't speak for everyone but the reason we restarted this thread was because our OP hadn't been on or updated in quite a few months. 

 

Basically we wanted the thread to be more up to date with the news and everything. Our first post will be updated with new news, articles and interviews as new information trickles out and our fanart post will have all sorts of lovely fanart all in an easy to access area. 

 

Think of it as...spring cleaning.

Varric is definitely going to be the character I won't be switching out much.  He's a storyteller and he always needs new material, I have no choice but to take him everywhere   .

Hmmm I'm trying to think, while he definitely only has a history with women (just one in particular) I don't remember him talking about women in general the way Anders did DA:A (correct me if I'm wrong about this). He'll jokingly flirt with either Hawke, though it is of course all in good fun and not serious. He definitely never outright states he's not into men (I don't think), his excuse for not wanting Hawke is that he isn't into humans in general. 

 

Correct me if I'm wrong about any of this, but it seems as though Bioware has stood on far shakier ground when making a character bi before. Given their track record it's perfectly plausible that Varric could be a bi love interest in DA:I. Though I can understand only feeling right about romancing him with a particular gender. 

 

Either way, people who might be made uncomfortable by the thought of him hitting on a certain gender (except in a joking manner) need not worry. I'm pretty sure he'll be making Inquisitor's of any gender/race jump through hoops before they'll be able to gain access to any sort of "romantic content" from him. This guy's really good at keep his feelings bottled up.
