The thing is, GaymerX isn't really about specific games, it's about the state of queer characters and developers in the industry. I didn't want to say before, but I always felt like the people who thought that this is it, now we find out everything were kind of missing the point. We got one character, which was about all I was expecting. I'm not saying the other two definitely aren't straight, but it seems pretty unlikely.

As I was thinking about it, that's what I assumed they would focus on the characters who would be same gender rather than announcing the straight ones.

 

I'm still hopeful, but this is my opinion.

As I was thinking about it, that's what I assumed they would focus on the characters who would be same gender rather than announcing the straight ones.

 

I'm still hopeful, but this is my opinion.

 

But it was never really about these specific characters. Its about romance throughout the industry. I just don't think they would've turned the panel into a DAI interview, even if all the characters left are queer.

Thank you as well.  Sometimes with all of the squabbling, it's easy to forget we're all a bunch of geeks that love this game.  Every now and then, we need to celebrate that fact, and try to cheer each other on.  It beats the usual bickering.

Thanks Elli! But honestly, us Varricmancers are holding strong. We've always had the mentality "We're hopeful, but don't expect it" and we're really supportive of one another.

Aww, thanks Baby.  It does mean a lot.  That's been a major comfort for us, despite some of our nerves.  We get our buddy back and the greatest dwarven character that BioWare has ever done.  Romance or no, that is something we all treasure.  We'll be here for each other, mourn a bit, and move on if he isn't available to romance.

Yes! It's part of what leads me to hide in the Solas thread a bit. I wish I had come by here more often! I've checked out the thread a few times, but I don't think I ever posted before. I know I've posted to Aimo about how she's made me kind of want a Varric romance, myself, honestly...haha XD

Okay, it's really sweet watching the Solas fans and us Varricmancers offering mutual comfort.  I wish it wasn't under these circumstances, but it's really nice to see.  There isn't a lot of happy feelings for some of us today.  

 

Other than Iron Bull as a non-gated bisexual romance that is.  That still warms my heart, and frankly impressed the hell out of me.  The cinematic team are geniuses.

Hugs Varric thread. I love Varric's character and, although I usually hang out in the Solas thread, I have to admit I'm pulling for Varric as a LI too. My guess is that one of our threads will be disappointed, although I wish that were not the case. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to support the Solas thread, and here's hoping we are all wrong and we get Varric and Solas!

Though to be honest, my first time romancing IB will fo sho' be Qunari.
