No doubt.  The last thing I'd want to talk about, or even really think about is romance while I'm that sick.  Plus, he just got back from a con where he talked a lot about romances.  He needs a break.

Oh, I know how to bring Varric into this: If he could have a pet, what kind do you think?  I think a mabari.  This can apply to regular cats and dogs too.  It's a fun lighthearted topic.

Honestly, I would just leave DG alone at this point.  We can give out well wishes in the more populated threads, and I'm sure he'll get them.  I think he should just unplug and recover for about a week.

That fic! Oh god, that was adorable. 

 

As for pets for Varric... Bronto is awesome, but might be too traditionally dwarvish for Varric's tastes, same goes for the nug. Mabari are awesome, and suit his personality, but a big rambunctious dog with a small (not necessarily strong) guy like Varric might not be the best matchup. I think some sort of trained bird might suit him well. They're good for communication which fits his career well, and not as difficult to physically handle as Mabari or a Bronto. Plus, if it were a Hawk, I'm just saying, the pun potential is there .
