My friend said those two come back in 3.  When I played the audio diary, I seriously felt like slapping said friend.

I'm curious. What's wrong with Endrin's letter, exactly? I don't think there was anything that would affect Rica there.

Warden Brosca found the letter, and sided with Harrowment...because reasons.  It's what the king wanted...well, she's a commoner, why should she care about that?  It shows Bhelan's a liar and he might hurt Rica some time down the road?  Yeah, that's why she did it.

 

Although I think Bhelan really cares for Rica.  When the crier says Bhelan has an impending marriage to a casteless, I don't think that's baseless rumor.

Well, you probably have played the game more times than I. I can see how that motivates trying new things once in a while  I have played DAO three times, with a Mahariel rogue, a Brosca warrior, and an Amell. I've been considering trying another run before DAI is released, preferably with a background I haven't tried yet, and maybe take the chance to get the DLCs I haven't played yet... Which would you recommend between City Elf, Dwarf Noble, and Human Noble?

Why do you assume Bianca would want to go back with Varric if they met?

Those are all good but I'm gonna say Dwarf Noble cause I'm biased.

They all have there merits.  Playing a female city elf nets one of the best "Oh, sod," moments ever.  The dwarf noble is one of my favorite origins, as a female you can have a very...close relationship to Gorim and as a male you can have an offspring netting a flawed quest later (it fails no matter what you do, but it's an error, and everyone certainly acts like you completed it.  It's one I'd like to see brought to the keep), and a human noble allows you to take over Fereldan, in a sense.  A female can outright marry Alistair and a male can rig a deal with Anora.  One I did was marry Anora, didn't harden Alistair and let him kill Loghain, and left him with the wardens, but it glitches and the game thinks Alistair + executing Loghain = King Alistair.  It's another I want the keep to fix.

Character wise, I don't think Varric would have a problem being in a relationship with the Qunari inquisitor unless they supported the Qun. Animation wise, though, it's probable that Qunari x Dwarf would be the hardest to animate. Iron Bull is bigger than the male Qunari (who are bigger than the female qunari, it appears) so they couldn't just copy paste his animations with the male dwarf.

That's what I think.  Varric's a water-off-a-duck's back kind of guy.

 

I did a script some hundred and eighty pages back or so or on the old thread, the romance thread, or the party banter thread about Varric having a discussion with the qunari inquisitor about her being vashoth, not qunari.

 

They said the remaining gatedmances are for "story" reasons, which makes one wonder what those might be.  They couldn't possibly boil it down to "racisim," could they?  They'd think of something more interesting, right?  Like Vivienne saying a commoner has nothing to offer her, or that someone is genuinely allergic to said race and actually sneezes when the inquisitor and other members of said race are nearby?

 

One of the best theories was that Solas won't go for a qunari (which was doubted because it was based off something Sten said) and dwarves, because they don't dream.

Yeah, I know that much but why can they go to the fade?!!? It drives me crazy they're not supposed to be able to.

 

I thought if you were a dwarf warden you'd have to fight the sloth demon outside the fade solo which to me would have been awesome.
