And that's what matters.  ^_^ Better surround ourselves with lovers rather than haters.

This is why I love the Varric thread. Perversion! Hedonism! Chest hair! So many things of mine in this little corner of the web!

And hopefully soon, with stud muffins!

@Jewlie: You're asocial.  You are an introvert that probably has a small group of really tight friends you love to hang out with.  Crowds, tons of people?  Not so much.    Antisocial means someone actively going against society, usually in a destructive manner.  A good example of this is the Aurora Theatre Shooter.

Some folks should really crack open a dictionary every now and then.

I live less than 5 miles away and I've lived here for 20 years.  I remember when they built that theatre.

I wouldn't be able to tell how I fit there. I usually don't like approaching people, unless something about them draws my attention. So every time I've moved or changed schools I remain the "quiet serious guy" until people approach me, at which point I (in my humble opinion) become charming and have no problem talking with them about whatever it is they want. In general, I like honing my social skills (and my mental skills, and my physical skills; perfect mind, perfect body, yadda yadda) and keep up a decent network. So I wouldn't consider myself "asocial" per se.

Curious thing, it is always the women who approach me first and introduce me to their male friends. I wonder if there is some kind of scientific reason behind this pattern. Maybe I should write a paper on it or something.

But telling them apart is so messy. I miss the good old days when everything was black and white  ;)

The good old days never existed.  There is just history.  ;)

Anyone have that dancing Varric gif handy?

Oh, fun topic: What would be the part you look forward to the most?  I'm not talking looks or his personality exactly, but what would you think a good romance arc for Varric would be?

Hi Varric Fans!  Just wanted to add this to the conversations about social inclinations:

546178_3806321562532_1412214350_33480084It is very true for me.  I used to go to parties, and clubs and such...but I just realized eventually that it isn't my thing.

Heya, welcome Leo.

I'm one of the only extroverts in the thread at the moment.  :)

I don't have much of a choice in the matter. When I was conceived someone high in the Celestial Bureaucracy decided I would be into party girls. Especially smart party girls. Which doesn't make a hell of a lot of sense, but there ya go.

Talking about Varric and stories, I wonder if he'll have something similar to Liara's scene in ME3. Less cheesy and with less hero-worshiping, hopefully, but I'm more optimistic about DA's storytellers.

XD While Kat is sleeping I'm finding relevant gifs, apparently.

Physically I'm okay. She didn't wake me up but I'm a little achey and she's just moving a lot. Other wise my emotions are all over the place. Meh -3-

*raises hand* I was guilty of that before...I never learned the difference between those two terms until I switched my major in college to criminal justice (we use that term soooo much). I always thought "I've been calling myself a sociopath all these years..."

That's why now I just call myself introverted. Because I'm actually not against being social anyway, I just like it in small doses.  ^_^

@Jewlie: That gif... *violent giggling*

d'aw, go for it ~ Naps are awesome. I can barely ever get myself to just nap though... I seem to either sleep a full cycle, or not at all. x_x at a certain point no alarm in the world will wake me up. It has led to missed classes and appointments before. xD

I've said it before but I wouldn't mind an arc where Varric has to come to terms with the fact that his life is changing and that he need to let go of the past. I think Bianca could serve as a symbol of this, with him choosing to let her go/forgive her/himself or whatever the deal with her is, leaving him free to move on.

But I'm sure the writers have a better plan, and that I will love what they have in store for us, romance or not! :)

I agree with ya. I would like something about Varric finally letting go of the past, and admitting he hasn't let anyone come too close to him for a long time. I don't mind if Bianca comes into play, heck I want the guy to get some kind of closure and have his story explained. I just want him to be able to be happy with someone and realize he doesn't have to keep everyone at an arm's length with his jokes and habit of never wanting to really talk about himself. It's been a long time and he deserves to live for himself by this point.

I'd bet dollars to donuts that Bianca is involved somehow.  She really should be and I honestly want to meet the character.  I'm not that much of a romance nut for Varric to crazy b*tch levels.  I wouldn't want her to die off, and certainly not because she's a kind of forced bad guy.

Bianca looks like she could be a really interesting character that I might end up liking as a person.  I've missed seeing a lady dwarf around after DA2 and dwarves are my favorite.  She doesn't have to come back as any sort of "bad guy," or otherwise a cruel person.  I not only want to see the lady behind the crossbow, I also want to see another perspective from the surface dwarves.

If anything, I actually hope she's a likeable person.  It would just...I don't know, feel wrong to be forced into hating her.   I don't want her getting hit with a full swing of the Villain Bat.

This was discussed on the Dorian thread, but I think it can apply here too! I want to see the companions - especially Varric - react more to the Inquisitor. Like the scene in DA2 where the LI - or Aveline - comfort Hawke after Leandra's death. So yeah, I would love to see the Inquisitor having a particularly rough time and Varric - or whoever the LI is - comfort the Inquisitor. Or, even better, something like in Origins where we get to control just the companions on a quest to save the Inquisitor. With appropriate comfort scenes afterwards, if you know what I mean. ;)

EDIT: I suppose it's not really an arc, rather one part of the romance I want to see.
