I started playing SH2 one day many years ago, there I was...playing playing playing, hid in the closet got the cutscene with the pyramid head, **** my pants...then realised it was pitch effing black in the room, my fiancee (at the time) had buggered off downstairs and there I was, alone... I couldn't finish it... that's the ONLY time that's ever happened to me...

ahaha! ran out of likes, but that's priceless. No worries, I own every single one and 2 is my favorite, as well. It's a popular opinion among the fanbase. ![]()

I can't play first person, it makes me feel sick...a bit like Oblivion (ok not first person but yeah), which I just tried playing then remembered it made me feel sick... the movement gives me motion sickness...
All I did was walk down some steps... *exit game* ![]()

I'm having video game ADD at the moment, so I'm bouncing in and out and of the forums. My favorite all time horror game:

Plus, the main protagonist, Alex, is a cop university student. She runs around in a black tank top, jeans and sneakers. You know, the way woman in a horror setting should be dressed. ![]()
Major Edit: I had her mixed up with Aya from Parasite Eve for some stupid reason. So sorry about that. ![]()

5 was the first one I played new. i dropped one of the armless figures and paused to admire it in first-person mode, looked it up and down, admiring the then-next get graphics, and thinking "Isn't he pretty? Look at all those organs moving around. Almost like he's still ali--"
It thrashed at the first person camera causing me to have to pry myself off the ceiling.

This is the greatest game ever made and the fact that we don't have a reboot, re-release, update, or sequel is a tragedy that lessens all of mankind.

Hmm, you guys have some good taste in horror games. I have a suggestion, if anyone is interested in a good game with horror elements, but its more of a story game than a scary, stay-alive game - Indigo Prophecy. It's in my top games of all time

I love the horror genre, except zombies, I prefer something more Lovecraftian. Lovecraft ![]()

So rumour has it that Cullen might sing to a romanced Inquisitor, if Varric is a romance what would his grand gesture be?

I've also played all the Silent Hill games. My favorite is 2 and I will bite anyone who insists it wasn't the best one :K
I'm kidding but I feel strongly about it.
It is the best one -- It's got the best story, the best usage of music, the best protagonist, and it's also an example of games that can convey amazing narratives without using words. It is the apex of horrors games. It is quite simply, damn good.
But anyway, chesthair, crossbows, Brian Bloom and all that!

Oh yeah, back on topic because I totally didn't start the horror one. ![]()
hmm... that's a good question. I'd imagine something sneaky, like a surprise of some sort... maybe take them out on a midnight stroll and show them a beautiful view where they can snuggle up.

Hmm, yes, I think that it will definitely be something sneaky... but I don't know what! But I agree that there will be something of a grand gesture... Varric loves a good story too much to just be boring when he's in a romance.

Where is this rumor? I want it to be true.
Someone fanart a qunari mage and Cullen.
Came up with these gems when I realized how likely it is that Cullen will be the lucky man to sweep my saarabas off her feet.
Varric: So, about you and mages...
Cullen: *sighs* Not this again...*
Varric: I'm just wondering, what is it like being the one thing mages fear, and then being in a committed relationship with one who could pick you up with one hand and snap you in half like a twig?
Cullen:...I hate you, dwarf.
Varric: What was it Blondie said...
Cullen: What now? More about me and mages?
Varric: No. Well...I'm trying to remember...how did he put it? It was something Blondie asked Aveline...
Cullen: Put what?
Varric: I remember now. Do the two of you ever play the new recruit and the naughty mage?
Cullen: I hate you, dwarf.
Feel free to use these as inspiration.

I agree it would be something sneaky. Since writing stories is his thing maybe he reveals his affections by writing about them. He asks for the Inquisitor's opinion while he reads it aloud, and it's obvious that this is his way of indirectly expressing himself since he's so bad at it XD.

*Eternal Darkness cover*

Actually, Alex is just an ordinary university student who gets mixed up in a century long struggle between humanity and a luminous evil that seeks to extinct mankind. I can dig that though -- Her characterization reminds me of April Ryan, which is good, because they both feel somewhat natural and strong, simply by being written as people first with their own dreams, hopes, skills, and not based around stereotypes.
Anyway, sorry for interrupting the Varric discussion but when someone mentions Silent Hill 2 or Eternal Darkness, then I can't help but invite myself into the debacle. ![]()
