Awww, I never romanced Jacob myself but I've watched his romance on youtube....that was painful. Really, I can't help but wonder what was going through the Devs minds when they wrote that. 
I felt so bad for his fans...
I think I'm going to go with Destroy this time. For Control, I'll just romance someone else. Because there is no way I think I'll ever be able to get to see Control first hand as long as Garrus is my LI.

Yeah, bad idea. I never thought I'd be happy that a LI had the same name as my brother. Really dodged a bullet there, because there is no way I could handle Shep saying, "I love you Jacob," in any sort of sexy way. My gods, the auto-dialogue was bad enough. 
@Natashina: I didn't mean that you should go green, I meant that you should go blue in spite of what it would mean.
I think unless you headcanon Shep a ton to make the arc different at least in your head, the logical conclusion of Shep's story is either Control or Synthesis, but that may just be me.
That said, I do end up picking Destroy a fair number of times too because I'm selfish. What's a little genocide when there's Liara/Miranda/Jack sexytimes to be had for my Sheps?
Haha, I understand completely! That's why I've always picked the destroy ending myself, even though I don't really like the Joker/EDI ship. Everyone's happy ( well, as happy as they can be knowing their commander just died but..y'know ) and Thanes dead so I don't have to worry about him *tear*.
I liked the Joker/EDI ship but I've never been able to pick anything other than Destroy.
Did they ever give an explanation for what they did to Jacob? Did they just think that continuing (what they saw as) an unpopular romance was too much effort? Even then, couldn't they have thought of a different way to do so?

As far as I know, none was given. They even "forgot" Thane. I'm not a fan but WOW, their writing team must have been disorganized.
I think Control is going to have to wait. 
I will end up doing it though, down the road. I even have a Jane rolled up with a nice face morph ready to go in ME2 for the last of the 3 colors.
I did control on my first playthrough. ._. It was cool, but... my heart.

Her "Kiss me Jacob" line was cringe-worthy, even for renegade Shepard. Just. No. I remember sitting there like wth?

I apologize for the ME talk, but damn...that romance is sooooo good. The best I've seen so far in a BioWare game yet, at least for my taste in writing and personality. I'm really hoping that a Varric LI is anything like that.

Pro-compromise and I'll leave it at that. I literally spent my first 6 months or so on the forums debating about robes/skirts. Nothing personal hun, I'm just burnt out on the subject. I'll let you guys have at and I apologize again for the interruption. 
I guess the Jacob romance is a love it or hate it thing. A lot of us (Jacobmancers) just don't want to accept that ME3 Jacob even exist.
When it comes to mages, I think some sort of compromise needs to happen, everything in moderation, you know? I personally don't like talking about the subject too much either, I usually play and see how it goes.

Me personally? Compromise.
My Inquisitors? Depends. I have a hardcore pro-Chantry anti-mage Inquisitor that I plan to play at some point but mages are my favorite class so I'll mostly likely roll a pro-mage mage as well. I'd like to see both outcomes.

Good question. It sounded like we will have to decide who to help out early one. I assume that supporting the circles doesn't mean you side with the red templars, so I'll have playthroughs both ways.
As for my first character? Mage Freedom! Aura Cadash doesn't like locking kids up. She does like the idea of mage schools, however. I'm thinking Hogwarts style (and yes, she and Dagna will be besties)

Depends on my character. I don't like playing anti-mage, but otherwise I vary from compromise to absolute freedom depending on my character. I'll probably play at least one character who supports complete freedom though, and is maybe slightly crazy. xP

Poooooossstttttt. You can use archiveofourown to post your fanfiction - we call it AO3, its what I use and they have a pretty good setup (and its free!)
