After Thessia, when I went to go talk to him, the conversation about sticking together, being there for each other and sticking by each other's side touched a
very deep chord.
I'll go into details another night, but my husband had a mysterious illness about three years ago. He went into cardiac failure and his blood oxygen was at 75%. We spent almost 4 months just waiting for a full blown heart attack. I was 32 years old and genuinely facing potential widowhood. We both thought he was going to die.
However, neither of us gave up. We stuck by each other's side, while I helped take care of him. We still found time to smile at our dogs, and enjoy our music. We even had a dark sense of humor about it, which really helped.
Anyway, much of what Garrus said to Shep after that sequence was so much like the talks my husband and I had during that time period. Things seemed very black and yet..."We'll get through this. We always do."
PS: Hubby is okay now. Still don't know what happened, but he's recovered with no issues.
