The other character threads are pretty neat places, too. Well, the Leliana thread had a very frustrating discussion that went nowhere a day or so ago that I was kinda responsible for, at least in part.
Though I still don't dare venture into the Cullen thread, I'm afraid that my sanity might take a substantial hit if I do.

I just... can't. Everyone in there feels like best friends and I immediately feel like an outsider and it moves sooo fast.
I went in there like the first day I started posting again to say hi and that I thought Cullen's new look was nice, and then once to give my condolences for those upset over his LI status. And that's about it. xD

I'm scared of the Cullen thread too. They have 10+ times more pages than us.
It's a little intimidating.

We're growing pretty fast too though. I mean the previous Varric thread was only like 38 pages. We've gone over 200 pages in about 20 days. I hope we don't come off as intimidating. Also yes please more Brian Bloom!I'm scared of the Cullen thread too. They have 10+ times more pages than us.

I'd say that most of the companion threads are pretty nice place to be. Some have it's rough days. I started the Sera thread, so I've seen that. However, most folks just laugh off the trolls and report them. They're pretty drama free. I even have a character thread for each mood I'm in.
Dorian: Those guys are largely still celebrating and it's a fun place to be.
Cullen: I don't usually go into that thread, mainly because it's huge and moves so fast. Still, they are polite and passionate and a lot of them really know their mage/templar lore.
Sera: It has a lot of really intellectual debates about her possible roles with the Dalish and Red Jenny. The whole, "oh no Sera might not like Cole and call him an it" aspect has started to quiet down.
Solas: Such a nice bunch, but they're even sadder than we are at the moment. I wish I could give them a collective hug. On the plus side, Solas seems to bring out a nature lover in many of his fans. I enjoy that as well, so I go in there when I'm feeling reflective.
Vivienne: Her elegance seems to have trickled down to her fans, for the most part. There is a lot of neat discussions about Orlais in that thread.
Cole: If I feel like breaking my brain on how Cole fits into the lore, that's where I go. I am pleasantly surprised at how civil and thoughtful the conversation about Cole has been. Even from those that think he's a demon of some sort, they are putting a lot of thought and care in their posts.
Blackwall: Stories about the Grey Warden, and a lot of wall climbing jokes. Good bunch, many of whom with a nicely morbid sense of humor.
Iron Bull: The raciest thread on the forums. Those folks not only know how to party, but they also know how to really walk that grey line with the art. It really borders on NSFW, but they still manage to keep it within the TOS.
I peek into Leliana's thread from time-to-time, but after seeing a fourth person ask for more physical signs of torture recently, I figure I'll come back after the game is released. ![]()
Josie: Again, nice bunch. Waiting for a name was brutal, but the fans really like her character.
Morrigan: I'll be honest. While every Morrigan fan I've met on the forums was really nice, I've never been that invested in her as a character. Still, they certainly also know their lore and love learning all that they can about the Wilds and about Flemeth.
I think the fans are awesome when we're not fighting about various things.

Quite interesting to hear him talk about his craft. ![]()
Ashe - Lady Insanity on Youtube said that Blackwall was heavily hinted as a romance.

He's also in the A-Team movie from a couple of years ago, which is where I first remember seeing him as a screen actor instead of a voice actor.

I'm confused over that as well. I believe there was a "Soon..." quote but without context that could literally mean anything. Personally I thought it meant that he was going to his Calling soon. Here's a 2012 interview with Brian Bloom by 91.8 The Fan.

Blackwall romance would be great, but... my love for Varric...

It also could have meant a "nearmance," which is what I'd be leery of right now. Like with Vega and Samara: all smoke, but no fire.

I liked Samara's "nearmance". And the Citadel DLC made it even better.

I should note that Vivienne was in a Valentines Day card.
But so was Dog.
And Arishok.
Even Harbinger.

I like Blackwall but I highly doubt he's a romance. It's not just that he's near his Calling or seems like a mentor figure, it's that he sounds like a very devouted Grey Warden. If something does happen with him romance wise then it seems to me like it would fall more into the Samara category. He is very handsome though. It also could have meant a "nearmance," which is what I'd be leery of right now. Like with Vega and Samara: all smoke, but no fire.

I checked it out on youtube and I liked it as well. The Citadel DLC was nice, but that was a few years later. ![]()

Dog is the non-advisor, non-party member flirt option that's been talked about. I'm whispering.

I'm not giving up. I'm positive that if Varric was not an LI they'd have confirmed that by now. They know Varric's a popular character and they're dragging it out for suspense. It's all marketing.I DON'T WANT TO GIVE UP.
