Okay good. I was struggling to find the first one that he says during "A Business Discussion". 

 

This is something weird I just noticed while trying to look up the "you're in luck I'm always willing to talk about myself to beautiful women" line:

 

I watched bits of a bunch of Let's Play of Dragon Age 2 to find it but I noticed that the only people who were really talking to Varric were people playing a female Hawke. Everyone I saw playing a male Hawke didn't pick the Investigate options, just kind of breezed through the conversations. Considering it's an "Investigate" option that leads the the response it's making it very difficult. 

He doesn't say it during buisness discussion he says it during questions and answer, with male hawke he just says 'you'll probably want to know my credentials"

So true, but he is kind of like the Garrus of DA. Almost everyone loves him. It's something to keep in mind when you read the LI objections. And then again, most people who oppose it do so because he's their bro, they want him with Bianca or they prefer something else. Not because they dislike him.

I've never understood why people want him only to be with Bianca so bad. Then again I've never been into the whole first love is true love kind of thing that Disney tends to permeate everywhere.

Perhaps Varric's story would change depending on whether or not he's romanced, if he's in a relationship with the Inquisitor then his closure with Bianca will happen in a different way?  I'm not feeling very mercurial today so I'm not sure my explanation is worthy... *shrug*

No, I don't understand the whole Bianca thing either. As it's been said before, he's obviously still up for dating and is still attracted to others. I think his feelings for Bianca are not so much being in love with her, but being ashamed about how it ended, perhaps very badly for her, and he feels guilt over that, which is why it's a story he can never tell. But I don't think it's something that would stop him from loving again, just that maybe he's afraid to at first, in case it all goes wrong like it did before?! But we can convince him otherwise, I'm sure!
