I cracked a joke in the romance thread which I'm worried hasn't been seen as a joke...

 

 

Some of people in that thread have no sense of humour and take things too seriously.....it's scary at times.

I know. At this point I'd rather just know and be disappointed, but then at least we can all stop fighting

Well it's not so much fighting, we generally haven't been, but I don't like the feeling of competition, it's getting me down.

Just try to walk it off.  We're in the home stretch, one way or the other.  I'm betting the LI reveals won't be dragged out much longer, and once that's out of the way, things should be a little quieter.  Well, once the whole, "You made X character racist," with any rate gating, but even that will largely blow over in about a week after the LI and race gating announcements are done.

 

Besides, I don't think anyone really thinks we're going to get violent hun.  I think they were joking as well.  

 

Anyhow, I need some sleep.  I'll talk to you guys later and hopefully we'll hear more soon.

I was thinking more of all the "this character has to be bi/not human because reasons" that spurs in the romance thread ever once in a while... I hope that'll stop after the romances has been announced. Or at least it'll die down...

I once thought I was a rarity wanting to romance Varric, no one in my social circle plays dragon age, or even any bioware games (yeah, I don't know what's up with that either!), so I had no one to speak to about my unrequited feelings. But then I decided to check out BSN and tumblr. How wrong was I! lol

My husband won't play it, he only plays games like Company of Heroes (it's the history/war geek in him!) But he knows how much I love it, just not quite the degree of affection I have for certain characters! lol But he does let me rattle on about how excited I am for DAI this October without complaint - and I talk about it quite a bit! (But I do the same for him when he's talking about his n gauge trains!)

I showed the DAI trailer to my mother once. She's a big GoT fan so I was telling her about Dragon Age and how great it is.  When it got to Varric in the trailer ("might wanna watch yourself") she said "ooo he's nice"  "That's Varric mum, everyone loves him" she mentioned his chest and I said "Yeah, there are a lot of fans of that as well" XD

So do any of you have any theories as to where Bianca (the woman) is? You think she's dead or left Varric for another man/the carta?
I don't think the fade sequence has anything to say, because anything can happen in the fade (like Duncan being undead for the Warden).
I just wonder why Varric can't seem to let her go.
Theories?

Ok, so we know Bianca isn't in the merchants guild (or at least it wouldn't make sense for her to be). We know Bianca and varric were trying to get away from the guild in the comics, and that varric made a promise.

I think varric let Bianca escape somewhere while he took the place in the guild. Maybe she left him but either way he ended up there and she didn't. His other friend was in the carta before we killed him, so that's a good theory (and a favorite of mine when I want to be vindictive and debate revenge!) but it's just as likely she moved off somewhere and settled down on her own. He may even know about it because of his contacts in inquisition and seeing her ok could help him move on!

(Yes, I know I give a new theory every other day, but shhh)

Fade Tears are causing dwarves to start dreaming, Many cans of worms are opened up I like my romantic subplots to be heavily tied to in game lore .

I don't think this would be the case but it's a cool fanfic concept.

The solas thread was talking about this the other day! If solas was a romance it would be cool to join him in dreams, even as a dwarf inquisitor!

I agree that it probably won't happen, but imagine how that would affect Varric... Ok too if everything else!
