Exactly! All we know is that she's real and that he cared about her. I'm not going to assume anything else.

I actually thing it happened a great deal differently than in the fade part of the reason why varric did not and could not believe it.

Same here.  Don't worry, not only do I think Bianca is real, but I geniuenly want to meet her.  Not for any crazy, "You must die for my ship!" reasons, but because I am very curious.  Also, getting to see a lady dwarf again that isn't off her rocker, a golem, or on a death trip would be neat.

I feel the same way.  Because, you know, if I want the most reliable source of truth on Thedas, I always check a Fade Nightmare.  

 

This is why I sigh every time some goes, "Well, Bianca did ____."  We can't say for sure, because the Fade seems to lie or at least obscure the truth in all things.  It seems to be part of the nature of that place.

Fade Nightmares are useful for telling you about a persons desires, at least. It's safe to say from that scene that Bianca meant a lot to Varric and that Varric wishes things could have gone down differently between them. 

 

But we can't use that scene to say what actually transpired.

Thank you very much for that.  Hopefully you've seen my shoutouts to the Cullenites.  You guys took so much bullshit for about 5 years, and really stuck to your guns.  So thanks for inspiring me to do the same.

The Cullenites actually made me reconsider my stance on Cullen. I've gone from wanting his head on a spike to thinking about making an inquisitor just for him. The wonders of a positive fandom I guess. 

Ever since DA2, I've seen Cullen more as a potential comrade-in-arms over a potential lover.  I've been really wanting to talk to a sane templar about this whole mess since I finished DA2, and Cullen has had some subtle but real character growth over the years.  I look forward to seeing his perspective, and I can't be happier for his fans.  He seems like an interesting guy, that's almost too honorable for his own good.  

 

However, I've never had my eye on him as a LI, though I welcome the chance if I want to later.  This might sound shallow, but part of it is his looks. The blonde haired/blue eyed/military types have never really done much for me.  The DA team surprised me with Alistair (who has much the same looks,) so I'm remaining open minded about Cullen.  I certainly never hated the guy, and I've been hoping for to see a bigger role from him for awhile.  I was actually a little disappointed that he isn't a full-fledged party member, but his role certainly doesn't look small this time.  

 

Or I'll just think of it as a battle axe.

Oh god... if Bianca ended up dying I dunno if I could go through with the Varric romance... Irikah was bad enough for me. I think the relationship has a lot more power to it if Bianca is alive, it's more of a "the one that got away" type thing, which hasn't been explored nearly as much by Bioware. I'm secretly hoping for someone ex to randomly show up asking for child support in one of these games .

You're welcome, and thank y'all as well! You guys are pretty awesome yourselves. I think I had underestimated how much Varric should mean to my Hawke, which didn't allow me to really realize how much he will definitely mean to my Inquisitor. He's like the DA Garrus, isn't he? Steadfast friend who sticks without regardless of whatever stupid choices you make? 

 

I do hope you get your romance and eff yeah, I'll be all over that one, too. Thanks for being awesome representatives of a well-earned potential romance.

haha yeah I will probably end up playing the game several times then come up with my own own cannon ending with an interesting character growth pattern. Done that in DA:O and DA2 ^^

I would still romance Varric but Bianca being alive does have potential for a better arch as long as it doesn't ruin our chances at romance with him

Same here.  If anyone knows where to find Han Tethras art, please put it up.  It's also in theme for the prompt too, since it's fan art based on Dragon Age and Star Wars, after all.

I've had that happen to me before, with someone crying over their ex on my chest.  When it's a guy you're interested in, and you're about to have your first...moment, and that actually happens, the fantasy is much better than the reality.  Trust me.   

 

I doubt it would be better with women doing the same either.
