I just posted this in the "Last 2 LIs" thread. I hope I don't get murdered.

 

 

There's a theory being thrown around that since we already have 2 warriors (Cass & IB), 1 mage (Dorian) & 1 rogue (Sera), chances are the final 2 LIs are mage & rogue, namely Vivienne/Solas and Varric, though I am leaning towards Vivi since it seems very unbalanced with the number of males on the table right now (even though I admit I want to rub Solas's bald head).

 

Additionally, one of the devs at the GaymerX "Building Better Romances" panel said that there's "3 straight options, a couple of bi options and a couple of gay options".

 

It seems to me there's a pretty decent chance that Vivi is the bi option and Varric is the straight one.

 

I don't expect everyone to support this theory but it's a theory I have strong faith in.

Well, I'd be disappointed if he was race-gated but at this rate, a straight race-gated romance is our best chance of having a Varricmance.

This is true. I was really hoping to romance him with a mighty bearded Dwarf with a huge scar. But I'll happily settle for a battle hardened but lovely female Cadash.

@KathTea I'd say go for it! It was said by one of the devs so I don't see why not.

 

Oh, I might have something else we can add to the OP as well!

 

A couple of bioware's employees were at a panel (after DA2's release) David Gaider, and Patrick Weekes were two of them but the rest I don't remember. Anyway, people were asking Bioware to release a DLC that would allow us to romance Varric, to which they responded by saying:

 

- "We have no plans for a romance in the future but if it's something the fans really want, we'll see what we can do."

 

 

_{Maybe they just decided to make him a fully fledged romance in DA3 and that's why we never got a varric-centric romance DLC? If anything, it shows that the devs were willing to try and make it work...}

If only Anders always had a tiny Varric with him, I bet he could have resisted his vengeance-mode more easily. xD

 

My favorite outcome would be a bisexual Varric, but I can't make myself be that optimistic. :c By now I feel like even just having him as an LI would be the best thing ever.
