If this is just a pre-show warm up perhaps he's only answering questions he doesn't want to include in the stream.

Weapons are restricted by class, just as before. Companions can equip any weapon that belongs to their class with the notable exception that Varric will ONLY use Bianca and not another bow. He can go dual daggers, but once you go Bianca, no other bow will do.

 

 

This makes me so happy to hear, it would have been weird if Varric let you just pick you weapons for him willy nilly.

I think it is significant that Varric can use daggers instead of just Bianca, though. Wild speculation on this  point led to me thinking that we'll have to unlock them as Varric moves on...

I don't think I'll have the heart to make Varric use dagger instead of Bianca, but we'll see. I expected them to be avoiding the romance questions but maybe they'll get to them later on? c: I like to remain hopeful lol

Ugh- they confirmed cullen and cassandra's LI status AGES ago, and now we even know their sexuality!!!  Wish they'd just either kill the dream and get it over with, or tell us we can have our paragon of manliness!
