I feel so alone sometimes because I favour Anora, Loghain and Jacob Taylor. I have yet to find anyone else who is a fan of all three. :o

I have a... ummm... conflicted Opinion about Anora, but I reeeeally hate hardening Alistair. I did it once, even in my "good Guy" Playtrough, so I could sacrifice Loghain AND have him be king, but it didn't feel good. The Ending negated the harshness a bit, but it was a Thing that I didn't like.

Never again have I hardened anyone. I feel like this Innocence, Naivete and Optimism both Leliana and Alistair have, is something very precious in the World of Dragon Age. In my Opinion, People who are able to preserve this despite all the **** they see and go trough, are much stronger than People - like for Example, Morrigan - that turn to Cynicism and social Darwinism instead. The People who are able to still hold on to Idealism have much stronger Resolve and I hate to destroy that.

To get back to Varric, I think, he also has this Idealism and Optimism, still. He holds on to Hawke even when everyone else leaves him/her behind. If I can do anything in Inquisition to preserve this Mindset, I will do it.

You understand me. U.U

This. So much.

I agree. And people who are optimistic and slightly naive aren't weak. If anything, I felt Varric was the most stable person in DA2.

Hmm, idealism.

I hate the word.

My ex was an idealist and that led to our eventual falling apart.

I don't hate Loghain. I understand (sort of) his reasonings and respect it. When I executed him I didn't do it out of revenge. (I want to say I did it out of duty/to make an example but honestly I just did it because I didn't want to lose Alistair and the game made me choose xD)

Loghain's snark is gold. Well, thanks to Mary Kirby!

Alistair could have suggested we take off all our clothes and run buck naked through the landsmeet to make a statement & I would've probably agreed to it, if it meant I could stay with him.  My Warden was completely wrapped around his finger.

Loghain is probably my favorite Bioware antagonist. I might be biased because I really like Stolen Throne. But I think he's a great character and I usually save him. Anora I like, she's ruthless but she is a fair and good ruler. I don't dislike Jacob at all, but it was always going to be Thane for me.

Loghain is a reasonable Man. I liked the Thought of him gaining Redemption trough killing the Archdemon - heck, for that I even went trough with hardening Alisatir that one Time and it was the reason I don't regard it as bad in that Case (because he mellows down in the Epilogue when he realizes what came of it).

I would've liked that suggestion way more than the execution. xD

And I'm not a fan of unhardened Alistair. I like bad ass Hardened Alistair much more. Still humorous but he's got more backbone.

I wonder if hardening comes back in DA:I.

And not the sexual kind. :P

Who would you Harden? Everyone in Inquisition seems pretty hardened already. You could harden Cole I suppose... I really wouldn't recommend that.

Hard to say, they could find some way around it and make Alistair hardened like they did with Leliana (well, she certainly seems that way in DA3). It's been many years since DAO and alot could've happened to him in that time-frame. I hope not though, I like my Alistair squishy and spineless thank you very much. :P

I'd say he's already pretty hardened, he has no trouble killing people.

To be fair with the Leliana situation, the world is in shambles and she's been working as an agent for the last ten years or so. Plus she just got tortured so she may not always be so cold.

We don't know their whole story of course but I think Dorian would be a good option. With the whole magister but not yet background.

Hmmm, true...guess we'll just have to wait to find out how much of what we saw is her actual personality.

Maybe I'm weird but I really don't like Anora, even when I'm puting her on throne. She's good queen and I have empathy for her (she probably couldn't have child and Cailan wanted to leave her) but she irks me most of the time. :P
