I support the Cullen fans more than wanting a romance, but I do plan on doing his romance at least once. Maybe I'll change my mind more later. I can tolerate him more than I could before after going to their thread haha

If they won't announce that Varric is a Li soon at least I'll be waiting for it in good company.

That's exactly my train of thought as well.  I'd rather spend the summer in the fan threads, where people celebrate their love of Thedas rather than in a thread where there is bickering all the damned time.  We're video game nerds, and I'd rather spend the summer taking joy in that fact than worry about anything else for now.  It's too damn hot out anyhow.  

 

We've got our best friend back, and we're all looking out for each other.  I can't ask for much else for now.

I like the Solas/dwarves idea, but I'm not sure it's likely unless the second empty spot is Varric/Blackwall over Vivienne. They said they used the chart to make sure every group got two options. Iron Bull was probably planned gated towards dwarves. If Solas also was, then straight female/gay male dwarves wouldn't have two options. Realistically, the other gated male (assuming it's a male) was gated for Qunari, I would assume. I would assume, further, that they're probably bisexual, for basically the same reason. Iron Bull was planned gated, so some gay males wouldn't have 2 options if the third was straight.

Dunno if there's a Varricmancer shirt, but the Bioware store does sell a Varric shirt that manages to get the message across pretty clearly .

This is just a guess, but I wouldn't be surprised if they revealed Vivienne as a romance.  What sexuality and what race remains to be seen.  I do know if she's an LI, I would prefer to know if she's race-gated ahead of time.  I just refuse to spin myself into a tizzy over it.

Also,  Varric now has the most pictures (on the character page of the website) out of all the companions/advisors!!! 

The devs must see how hot he is and just figured we could use more pictures

I don't really dislike any of the characters, well maybe Sera as she strikes me as a bit self righteous and moralistic.

 

My favorite at moment is Vivienne, she appears to be very pragmatic and level headed, i still like Cassandra and Josephine though.

 

And last but most definitely not lest Varric, hes just 100 shades of awesome   .

I agree, that goes for all love interests. DA:I will likely take a while to complete, I would hate to feel like I need to start over and replay all of those hours because I chose the "wrong" race on release day.

Im not interested in her at all though. Im actually pretty certain that when i do any straight male characters, they're going to be spending a lot of time at a brothel. Or headcanoning Dagna.

 

Varric would be a fairly big reveal though. And it is Comic-Con. Which is a fairly big deal.

I figure that PAX Prime is when Varric is going to be revealed.  It would bookend the Convention Season nicely.  At PAX East, we had Cullen and Cassandra, two out of three of the returning cast, announced as a LI.  Then they could finish the major cons of the year with revealing the last returning cast member as a LI.  

 

Also, I know that CC is going to be very heavily focused on the next ME game this time around, if the schedule put on the twitter thread is accurate.  An announcement with Varric being a LI could potentially overshadow that, given his popularity.   So, might as well announce the new party LI at CC, then focus more on PAX Prime for Dragon Age.  That's what I'm thinking anyhow, and PAX is still ~a month away.

I couldn't do it.  Aveline looks way too much like my sister-in-law for comfort.  My sis-in-law and I get along...now, but we were enemies in high school.  Then she married my little brother and had a kid with him.  We get along just fine now, but I can't get past Aveline's resemblance to her.
