I'm thinking they're saving the race-restricted romances for last, and that's why we haven't heard anything about Varric (or an official word on the Bull). I think Scribbles, Cullen, Cassandra, Sera, and Dorian were all confirmed because they aren't race-gated.

 

(At least, that's what I'm holding my hope spot out on)

If Varric turns out to be romanceable, I have a gut feeling that he'll be race-gated. I'm thinking dwarf exclusive, which I would be totally okay with! I'd be over the moon at just being given the chance to romance him.

I wish. They're really dragging this out. 

I wasn't active on the forums with DA2 but I lurked and things seem to go a bit faster with the LI's then. Didn't they release a chart with all of them on Valentines day? I seem to remember scrolling down a chart like that and my little heart sinking when I realized Varric wasn't on it.

Don't think so. I'm just getting the feeling she isn't, at this point - like she'll end up being the Aveline of DA:I.

Oof, that's harsh..on Valentines day no less? I remember when I played DA2 and found out he wasn't romanceable..it was even worse because my friend told me he WAS an LI. I spent a good portion of the game flirting w/him only to be completely heartbroken..

That's kind of what I was hoping. If they confirm Vivienne is NOT an LI I'd be more concerned than if they confirmed Iron Bull was one.
