Im a big manly man when it comes to bugs in my house and have my girlfriend deal with them.

It's really a problem when you live with someone who is also terrified of spiders... you both end up running around the house screaming like children...

I don't think liking spiders is necessarily weird, I'm just very phobic. Actually I like snakes so I'll handle them if you keep the spiders away. 

I love snakes  I used to play with them all the time when I was kid but now I live in area with some really poisonous ones that will chase after you so I try to steer clear unless I"m 100% that the snake isn't poisonous. I also really like bats and mice and all kinds of little crawlies

It seems there'll be different variety of spiders/arachnides in the game, and by Gaider's word on tumblr, it seems they were particulary sadistic this time.

DA2 didn't have that animation. Maybe they brought it back, even more detailed by the Frostbite?
Plus, I guess that with Frostbite they might be more realistic.

Why are spiders such common enemies anyway? Are they easy to animate or something?

I think the fact that a lot of people are scared of them could be the very reason why they are so common in games.  Artists often draw or write about the things that scare them most!

Oh no. Imagine what they can do with those spiders with Frostbite. I would pay for a patch that would convert all the spiders into giant rats or dogs or anything other than a spider.

I think because they are a very easy "scare".

You must not play mario games then.  There are hippos in lava!

I wonder if they'll make them accidentally adorable like with the giant spiders in DA2? Maybe there will be a patch or mod the converts them into censor bars so you don't have to see them? But I bet that crawly noise they make would still be in :/

Im usually much more concerned about the carnivorous plants that eat humans and SPIT FIRE!

The Inquisitor is supposed to be able to show more emotion than any other DA protagonist to date...maybe there will be an option to sob hysterically in combat. Sort like a Renegade/Paragon interrupt only Sob/Shriek interrupt.
