I didn't mean you Chaos perhaps if I'd said "I'm getting sick and tired of this bullshit, Chaos" it would have made more sense haha..I was expressing my frustration in your direction not at you or because of you *hugs*

I'm just never gonna post in there again.

When the game comes out, enjoy the game. If they can't just enjoy the game for what it is, that's on them.

Ooooh, I thought of a fun game.
What sort of media, books, movies, TV shows, comics, video games, etc. do you think Varric would enjoy the most from our world?
I see him as a Twilight/50 Shades guy, but not because he enjoys it, but because it reminds him of how much better his writing is.

I've never had an issue playing an opposite-gender PC. I always found it weird that some people do. Like saying, "I only read books where the main character is the same gender as me. I just can't put myself into their shoes otherwise."
I tend to think of Hawke as being female, though. They both change depending on what story I want to tell, but when I picture Hawke, it's not the default, it's a white-haired, pale-eyed, tattooed female mage.
I was like this for a long while, I don't know what changed. Maybe I just wanted variety, but I eventually started playing female characters. To the point that I'll even have my first run be a female as I might in this game.

He'd certainly like Tolkien, I think. Epic Heros, World Shattering Villains, beautiful women, and friends who stick with each other no matter what, now that's Varric's kind of story. ![]()

I can see him channeling Steven Fry when commenting on them

I think he might be a crime drama fan.

Call me a white knight, but I generally only post if I share an opinion with someone else and they're being attacked for said opinion.

I think he might be a crime drama fan.
Oh for sure, maybe some old fashioned Agatha Christie and Sherlock Holmes? Or would he be into the newer stuff? I can see him liking anything that has a fairly large fandom, more people to read the fanfiction he'll of course be writing
.
As for Video Games hmm... FPS's that aren't spunk gargle weewee? I don't think he'd like gritty war games, but I think he'd totally get into games like Bioshock or Borderlands.

I was like this for a long while, I don't know what changed. Maybe I just wanted variety, but I eventually started playing female characters. To the point that I'll even have my first run be a female as I might in this game.
For awhile I saw the warden as male. No race, just class. I guess because I have so many stories I want to tell, both Amells, a Dalish jilted by Alistair, a female commoner, a male noble, a male Cousland who sends papa-in-law to the archedemon, a female Cousland who romances Zevran and marries Alistair ...I quit seeing my warden as any one thing.
Of course, I've always thought it silly to have a "canon" warden. My Amell+Morrigan/Ritual/MageHawke+Anders/TemplarCarver/Mages/Saarabas+Cullen is just the first that I want to do. The above listed are others, and I'll probably run them side by side. I don't actually know which one I'll finish first.

He'd like old school point n' click adventure games. I can almost guarantee he'd get kicks out of the adventures of Guybrush Threepwood, George Stobbart and the like.

I see him enjoying "bad" things because he can make fun of it. Crime drama, old school mystery, he'd probably like that, too, but he'd probably fall over if someone told him about Rifftrax.
