Pay them no mind, Ajna. All this hate has been thrown all over the place. It was thrown at the Sera fans. It was thrown at the Cullenites. And, it might sadly, be thrown at the VarricMancers. That certain thread (non-specifically mentioning the thread) is the butthurtiest of the butthurt. And in my opinion, some people in that certain thread need to sit down, eat some cookies, and keep quiet for at least 2 seconds. 

I feel so immature because that made me giggle.

poor Carver, he'd be dead in like 95 % of the play throughs. xD

I imagine the relationship between a Warrior/Rouge Hawke was actually pretty tight, they went to war together after all.

Oh, true! But still, Bethany makes a much better first impression. I really like Carver though, I loved his arc as a warden.

I liked Carver but I loved Bethany so I would probably pick her over him most of the time.

 

Though to be fair, mages are my least played class so I had  longer to love Bethany than Carver.

 

But, I loved the relationship mage Hawke and Carver had on the friendship path.

 

I ALSO loved the fact that your existence earns your rivalry points with Carver.

If he's rivaled and a templar:

 

He's hunting apostates. You know, for the safety of Thedas.

I was just reading through the bit of drama from earlier and I wanted to pop in and say that you can feel free to celebrate all you want if Varric turns out to be on of the last LIs! I can't speak for everyone in the Solas thread but they're a pretty chill bunch so I highly, highly doubt they'll care. 

 

Who of us doesn't love Varric, after all? It'll hardly seem like too much of a loss 

 

You can come over to the thread and give your condolences too, should the need arise. We'd probably appreciate it more than feel like you're rubbing it in. We're buddy threads!

I recently did a Friendship Carver playthrough, and I have to say he really matures well.  I won't ever call him overly expressive, but he definitely makes peace with himself and Hawke, and is reasonably enjoyable to be around.  I feel like it was worth the effort.
