It could be one of the "outsiders". They said that at least one LI would be from outside of the Inquisition.
If Varric is race gated I hope he's not dwarf exclusive...maybe human/dwarf/elf or elf/dwarf exclusive. Don't get me wrong, dwarves are my favorite race but mage is my favorite class so...I'm in a bit of a pickle here.
People are guessing Dagna might be a choice now, that would fit in with the "outsider" right? A female dwarf romance, omg!

A lot of people speculate that it might be Dagna, just so there can be some dorf loving...
I'd rather that any dwarf romance be serviced by Varric, but I'll support Dagna for her fans u.u

Then again I don't think they actually confirmed race gating, I think they just said "preferences". That could just mean that maybe it's a bit harder with some of the other races....
Anyway any Varric is better than no Varric. I just wish we had a clear answer.

To be honest, I'm so excited about the increasing possibility of (maybe even 2!!) dwarf romances in this game, I wouldn't really mind Dagna over Vivienne.

Though I do not care for those that have commitment issues and sleeps with everything that moves, I kind of rammed my foot into a wall with romances in Dragon Age 2 because no one really was sane in a sense, except for Aveline but she was not romancible... though it was more believable with the rejection. I would rather take another one...from Varric...if he is not romancible in this one either.

I do enjoy Fenris, but Isabela all the way
I can appreciate the Fenris romance but his temper and violent tendencies made me uncomfortable with him. It it a little too close to home and reminded me of some less...than happy times.
I think maybe if I'd tried his romance as a male Hawke instead of a female I would have been more comfortable with him but the throwing of the wine bottles, all the yelling and then slamming my Hawke into a wall upset me.
