I'm really curious to see rogue armor since rogue is going to be my first play through.

I have no idea, but I think it's amazing how much attention to detail must go into making sure each companion has his/her own armor style. One of my issues with DA:O was that every armor looked the same. Glad to see they addressed it.

I still can't decide mage or rogue...  :P

I wonder if they will finally fix that thing where everyone had some kind of neck covering so they could hide the seam of the character model.

I always found it strange that Liliana was wearing a dog collar.

Not that its my place to judge or anything.

I feel like one of the rare people who doesn't really enjoy Mage play throughs. I've done them but they are definitely my least favorite and it feels like a chore to get through it haha

It seems like they have, I imagine it was a somewhat easy to address issue with the Frostbite issue. Though I did notice Varrics neck line being a little off in one of his screens,. But it's a pre-launch picture so hopefully they'll fix it.

Call me weird but my first playthrough was a Female elf Mage. I went with a more buff and healing heavy build and ended up having a lot of fun with it.

Were you an Arcane Warrior?

Mages are actually the best tanks in the game for Origins.

I prefer Blood Mage though myself. Hitting a lot of people hard and fast.

I don't think it has to do much with the abilities or play style, I don't have more difficulty playing a Mage over anything else.. I just don't enjoy it. I might try that out though.

Oh yeah, When I'm a blood Mage is the only time I've enjoyed playing. In both origins and da2 I've had a psycho blood Mage character who does everything bad you can imagine.

I'm so bummed you can't be a blood Mage in this game.

Yeah, Arcane Warriors with healing abilities can pretty much solo the whole game on normal.

That's kind of how I feel when I attempt to try rogue. I guess some people just have very distinct play styles and preferences :P

You might try Arcane Warrior as well.

You can basically be a warrior who casts spells and never ever ever ever ever gets hit.

I can't say much about other peoples play style. I have plans to make a Sword and board Dwarf. Probably the most generic style you can pick class wise. But I always make my Dwarfs warriors.

I start to like playing as mage in DA2. It was really fun even more than rogue. I never play warrior though... xD

I couldn't play as Blood Mage. It feels wrong to me. xD

My noble is a warrior and my casteless was a rogue. I know that I will be doing rogue first, but I will make a dwarf warrior too In DAI

I never made my Blood Mages crazy. I kind of like the idea of an otherwise good and gentle person walking that dangerous line.

Im sure no one here saw that coming.

Im disappointed the specialization is gone, but im hoping there are still some blood magic spells you can learn. That way it would actually make sense in the story of no one notices. You are only dabbling a bit.

It doesn't matter which game I play. If it has something resembling a mage, that's what I'll pick like 9/10 times. I did have a lot of fun as a dual wielding warrior in DA:O and as a two handed in DA2 though, but I still preferred to throw fireballs in peoples faces.

But for inquisition I'm still deciding between qunari/human mage or warrior dwarf as my first inquisitor.

I also made my Blood Mage non-crazy. He was evil, though. Damned evil, far more evil than any crazy Person. Because, what a crazy Person does out of their Minds, he does consciously and with Planning behind that. Yes, yes, Janos Hawke - the two Faced - was a terrorist of the worst Sort... and a Healer, funnily enough.

Although, my Warrior World is the one I always play first, and when I play Warrior, I always play Tank.

Now, for something completely different: Do you think this

Spoiler
Girl is good enough for Varric?

Because I have conflicted Feelings about this Drawing of her.

I Should try to make a good blood Mage. But in dragon age I've always made a few characters who just want the world to burn, that was my blood mage in Origins and in 2, but also my city elf ...

I almost always play as a rogue and have a hard time finishing mage or warrior files, although I did really enjoy my arcane warrior in Origins, that was definitely my favorite mage specialization.

Yeah, warrior is my least favorite as well. This time I'm planning to have my first character be a mage for story reasons. I like stirring up drama and seeing who bites. And this setting will be perfect to do that as a mage. xP

In DAO my favorite playthru was a female Elven Mage. Her sole motivational force was to accumulate power so no one could ever lock her back up in the tower. This also included building relationships and influence with others who were powerful.  She loathed Andrastianism.  But loved Leiliana and ended up killing her when in a fit of hate and rage she tainted the ashes.  She then romanced Zevran not because she loved him but because she wanted to manipulate him into staying with her.  She put Alistair on the throne with Anora, and did the dark ritual.  She did the mages tower last because to go in there filled her with terror. She did so many evil things in the name of power not because she was evil but because she wanted to avoid the tower.  That was a phenomenal playthru because I was able to make choices no other character would have made.

In DA2 my favored playthru was a Mage Hawke who was out to prove that mages could be free.  She is the only one who killed Anders and also romanced him.  Mage playthrus are so full of emotional angst and drama that they end up being my most satisfying Role plays in the Dragn Age universe.  I really hope to have a Fem elven mage romance Varric, someone gentle and kind.
