He did say that Varric "may" be a romance. Better than outright confirming that he isn't like they did for Cole & Leliana.

Hello, I'm back. I had something like graduation I guess, I don't know how it's called in english. xD Oh, dictionary calls it master’s defense. Anyway, I have now more time to focus on Varric.

 He's not saying that Varric is not a LI. Hmm, it sounds not bad. He releases that there is a lot of people wanting this. I actually think it good sign. He obviously can't confirm anything yet...

Hmm we're 3rd as far as male LI's go, 4th overall. Not bad. 

 

I keep going back and forth over Gaider's post... does the fact that he says "likely someday" mean that Varric won't be a romance this time around, or is he hinting that maybe we shouldn't get our knickers in a twist about having no dwarf romances in the game just yet .

If there is a Varric-romance I might just make a dwarf Inq for my first PT =)

I don't want to get my hopes up too much. With Sera, Cullen and Josie as LI:s already it feels as if I have been very very lucky. Varric would be a great surprise, but I got plenty to keep me happy otherwise. We will just see what happens.

I kind of feel that way too. Sera and Josephine I really wanted.

If they announce VIvienne or Solas before they do Varric I would be like... I can't be lucky to have all the LI's I wanted

Does anyone have much info on that elf? All I know is that he's a loner mage
