Well i think the term would just be Qunari Mage.

Qunari kind of means two things in the DA universe.

As far as i have read "Kossith" isnt really correct either. It would be like calling people from Germany Visigoths. Its such an old term that it isnt really accurate anymore.

Well, Kossith is the name of the race, though. Qunari means follower of the Qun. And the Qunari call those born out of the Qun Vashoth. (Tal-Vashoth are those that leave the Qun.) http://dragonage.wik...om/wiki/Kossith You're correct that is is antiquated, but it is the most correct term, even if it isn't used anymore. Of course, the people in game won't use it... They will probably say Qunari - it just doesn't make sense to me since we aren't going to be part of the Qun. http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Qunari

Since we know that the Inquisitor isn't part of the Qun, they can't be considered Qunari, technically... its just that much of Thedas doesn't know any other term for them.

I do hope we can at least easily befriend Varric as one... even if he hates the Qun. (but I doubt we can romance him as one)

Eh, I go with the word of Gaider on this one. http://dgaider.tumbl...wain-shall-meet

If people want to call them Kossith, then by all means do. I'm gonna stick with qunari.

It just seems to me like calling all Jewish people "Israelite" or "Hebrews".

Its not wrong, but it really isnt correct either.

I imagine we will find out in DAI, anyway. Surely it will be brought up at some point.

Isnt there also specifically terms for "Qunari who is part of the Qun" and "Not Qunari who is part of the Qun"? Vidithari and anathari or something.

Kossith is outdated to the point that very few people in Thedas would probably recognize it. At this point it's more of a fan term than anything part of the language of the setting. I'm not sure racial qunari have a term they use for themselves (their culture has been so subsumed by the Qun that they don't really think about it otherwise), so qunari just becomes a short-hand term for convenience. I'd actually like to see the non-Qun qunari adopt a term for themselves, just to make a clean break, but I'm not sure how that would work or if we'll ever see it.

Why do you hate playing females, even if you are one?

Who knows ? I usually end up playing a female on the first run of every game. Might just be that they like seeing things from a point of view they aren't used to.

I'm pretty sure that Clockwork is literally naming her Qunari Sarabaas .

Edit;
So whether or not it would be the right term in the case of what the Qunari would be called, it will be Clockwork's qunari's name.

I don't know. I suppose hate is probably too strong of a word. There really isn't anything in particular, at least not that I can express. And it's not like I avoid games with a female protagonist. I loved Tomb Raider and Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation. (And oddly, I prefer playing as Sherry in the Jake chapters of RE6.) But... if I have a choice... All things being equal, I will play as a male 9 times out of 10. It's only ever been female-only romance options that has ever made me willing to choose to play as a female. (Carth, Atton, Alistiar, this game Cullen and probably Varric.)

I feel ya there, I usually end up playing as a female while I myself am a man. Guess some of us are strange like that.

I'm from Alabama, USA.  So yeah, can't escape having a bit of a southern accent, but mine is mild compared to some of my family.  hehe

Awesome! I'm from Alabama myself! Or, more specifically L.A. (That would be lower Alabama for those that aren't from that area. ;) )

So, when is today's DA:I panel anyway?  I'd guess that's when they would announce any new news, if any.

Nothing wrong with that! That's part of why I loved Bioware games. I could play as a guy, but... The people that wanted to play as girls? They could too. And they don't have that option in a lot of games, so I always liked the inclusion of gender choice, even if I rarely take advantage of it.

Maybe I should create a female Qunari named "Rita" and try to romance Varric. Or would that be too weird?

Cool beans.  I'm in central/Northern Alabama.  Most of the people I encounter online are from the southern regions of the state.  I must be missing out!  lol!

I wish I could be better at gender bending. I may create a male character but I almost always change my mind and go back to female again. Not this time though, I'm making a dude for Dorian.

I play female characters sometimes, but it's a lot harder for me to lose myself in the character. Generally I only do it when I have a specific story I want to tell. So I know how you feel.

I've got the same problem with alignments. Sure, I've done my share of ax-crazy psychopaths for the lulz, but like 8/10 times I'll end up as chaotic good.

I have the same plan. :D I'm going to have at least one full playtrough with male charater this time. Of course it won't be first playtrough but still...

Ah, yeah, I suck at playing evil. I used to force myself to take the evil path in games just to see it. Jade Empire pretty much broke me of that though.

I'm always the good one too... When I'm going something really bad in game I feel  bad about it. I can't help it. xD

I play games to have fun, and if im not having fun with a certain type of character, i wont continue them.

I tend to not really be great playing female characters. I cant get that connection.

I've never played Jade Empire, but it's been on my to do list for years! But the only times that I've found it easy to play evil have been as a sith. Me and HK 47 were best buds in KOTOR.

I'm from the Gulf Coast, so I have to say, if you're a fan of beaches, you are missing out! I'm not really a fan of the sun or the sand, but I do love the water!
