Short only in stature, she carries herself tall because she knows people on the surface don't pay attention unless you hold yourself up like them. She's honestly not the most confident person but it's best never to tell anyone that. She has long, dark-brown hair and gray eyes that are large for a dwarf, kids made fun of her for it growing up. She's naturally pale but likes the sunlight so much she clearly has tanlines.

To Varric Tethras! 18 questions total!

1) Who makes the first move and how?
Aria tells Varric her feelings by accident. She's so relaxed with him she almost doesn't realize when she's told him how much he means to her.

2) What's the others reactions?
Varric, being the good man he is laughs it off and pretends she didn't mean it. Aria, being too proud to tell a lie, then stops him and confirms that she wasn't joking. Varric is at first a little shocked but then smiles. "Good," he says.
3) Varric wants to give your quizzy their favorite meal or a thoughtful gift... What is it and how would he give it to them?
Aria once mentioned that she has a sweet tooth but she doesn't say what her favorite dessert is. Varric spends the better part of a day wandering a market trying to find what Aria might like. Chocolate eclairs are too rich, he thinks, and peanut brittle is too crunchy. Finally, he settles on a freshly baked cinnamon bun and presents Aria with it- only to find out she's allergic to cinnamon. She takes him to get honey buns instead, her treat.
4) Does Varric and your quizzy make their relationship obvious right away or is it hush-hush at first?
Aria loves listening to other's love lives but she's bashful about her own so she and Varric are subtle, but they don't make the greatest effort to hide anything.

5) If it's on the down low; do they end up telling the group or do they find out on their own?
Sera is the first to notice along with Josephine, who giggle whenever they see the couple. Once the Iron Bull finds out, there's nothing left to hide. He even tries to give Varric a couple of tips, and when Aria overhears, she rushes out of the room, scarlet.

6) If the "first move" didn't involve a kiss; how did their first kiss go?
Varric isn't one to kiss-and-tell, but I am. To pick up where I left off: Varric is at first a little shocked but then smiles. "Good," he says. Aria, a pretty shade of pink, starts to feel very silly. Why should she get butterflies? This isn't her first brush with love. She looks so cute fretting, Varric thinks. Aria, so lost in her thoughts doesn't see Varric's hand coming as he pulls her face toward his.
7) How do they behave together on and off the battlefield?
Aria is in the zone and focuses on the task at hand, so she treats Varric no different than anyone else and Varric wouldn't have it any other way. He certainly doesn't need to be babied. This facade is shattered though when Varric might be seriously injured or knocked out.
8) Would your quizzy flirt with someone else? Would Varric? How would they react?
Aria isn't one to flirt lightly, so probably not.

9) Who's the first to say "I love you"? When/Where/How do they do it?

10) What's the most publicly romantic thing your quizzy initiates? (Whether it's all the time or only once)

"Varric, please, I'm fi-" she cringed. The arrow was deep into her side and she could see the red expanding over her undershirt.
Varric's lips were pressed tightly together as he searches through his pack for a poultice and bandages. Aria had never seen him more serious.
Aria reached out to touch his arm, but instead knocks into something. She gasped as she saw Bianca clatter to the floor. Varric instantly froze looking at the crossbow. "Varric, I'm sorry-"
Varric tore his eyes away from Bianca. "You've gotten us into a might fine mess here,Lullaby," he found the poultice and bandages. "There's a rockslide seperating us from everyone else and very little in the way of supplies." He ripped her shirt at the waist to get a better look at the injury and then looked at her sternly, "This'll hurt," before Aria could ask what, Varric yanked the arrow from her side, she cried out in pain but quickly bit her tongue. Varric applied a health dose of poultice on the wound and began bandaging it. "I would have been fine in here. You shouldn't have raced after me... gotten yourself in this mess."
Aria grimaced, "You think I would let that happen?"
Varric smirked, "You hero types are the worst." He finished wrapping the wound. "There, can you sit up?" Aria struggled but was able to get to her feet. She took a step forward but grasped at her side, folding over in pain. "Alright, alright," Varric took Aria's arm and pulled it over her shoulder, letting her lean her weight on him. With his free hand he reached for Bianca and secured her to his back. "After all this is settled you'll need to apologize to Bianca properly for pushing her like that. She'll hold a grudge otherwise."
14) Oh no! Again! Now Varric is injured and Quizzy has to play doctor; how would they go about it?
"Hawke? Is that you?"
Aria placed her hand over Varric's mouth to hush him. "Do you want us to be found?" she hissed.
Varric turned his head. "You've gotten shorter Hawke-"
Aria sighed, "Why for all the-"
"And prettier," he whispered, his eyes were fluttering shut.
"No!" Aria slapped her hand across Varric's scruffy cheek several times. "You can't sleep. The pioson might take you."

What nickname does Varric give your Inquisitor?
He calls her Lullaby, because she likes to hum to herself. Aria even hums when they are beside each other in bed, it tends to be the last thing Varric hears in at night and the first thing he hears in the morning before he opens his eyes.

1) Who makes the first move and how?

Oooh this one is tough. Aura tries to flirt a lot, but Varric goes in for the first kiss.

2) What's the others reactions? 
Hmm, at first everyone is surprised, since no one expected Varric to be so open about a relationship, but they come around and eventually everyone thinks they fit together perfectly

3) Varric wants to give your quizzy their favorite meal or a thoughtful gift... What is it and how would he give it to them?

Varric gets Aura a fancy pic for her hair that can release poison or be a lockpick (practical yet beautiful, like her), he will hide it though and leave a set of clues for her to find it. Of course, it won't be obvious that it is a gift from him until the end, it'll look like an old treasure map or something, but when she finds it the box will have her gift wrapped in the bed of flowers

4) Does Varric and your quizzy make their relationship obvious right away or is it hush-hush at first?

Well, the first day, they try to keep it hush-hush, but then the next night Josaphine walks in on them and then everyone finds out in a dramatic and embarrassing way 

5) If it's on the down low; do they end up telling the group or do they find out on their own?

Oh, a kiss in front of a fireplace after Varric tells her he loves her... *happy sigh*

On the battlefield? They watch out for each other and move in synchronization - they have since their first fight together. Off of the field? Very joke-y. They are obviously two best friends in love, picking on each other while still being sweet.

8) Would your quizzy flirt with someone else? Would Varric? How would they react? 

Varric flirts with everyone, he probably doesn't even notice he does it. Aura would pick on him for it and ask him to use his chest hair to get her free stuff. Of course, if someone flirts back she'll either watch it play out (because reconnaissance) or she will step in and kiss his cheek or something to tell that other person to back off. 

9) Who's the first to say "I love you"? When/Where/How do they do it?

Varric. He tells her after telling the story of his past. Alone, keep, in front of the fireplace.

10) What's the most publicly romantic thing your quizzy initiates? (Whether it's all the time or only once)

Probably kisses. Aura keeps the romance for private situations, she is secretly a bit shy

11) What's the most publicly romantic thing Varric initiates? (Whether it's all the time or only once)

Oh, Maker. Varric knows that Aura is shy about PDA and tries to play it up on her all the time. He doesn't do it during important situations, where it would hurt her standing, but around the keep with their friends, all the time. He likes grand gestures, as well. 

12) If your quizzy and Varric get into an argument who is the first to usually apologize (even if they were in the right)?

Aura. She doesn't like arguing. But Varric will feel bad that she apologizes more than him and tries to make it up to her, and apologizes too 

13) Oh no! Quizzy got injured! Varric is the only one around to take care of them. How does your quizzy react to being a patient? 

She wouldn't know what to do at first, since she is so used to taking care of everyone else. He convinces her to relax, though, and she starts to enjoy the attention.

14) Oh no! Again! Now Varric is injured and Quizzy has to play doctor; how would they go about it?

Aura would try to be really nice, and throw in only a few small jokes about Varric getting hurt. He would eat up the attention and play up his wounds as worse than they are so that he could get an extra kiss or two on top of the healing.

15) Something emotionally scarring happened; how would Quizzy and Varric comfort each other? 

Cuddle together in front of the fire, without talking. They talk so much all of the time that being silent for each other really helps when they need to think. 

16) Is there a proposal in the future? Who pops the question and how?

Of course! Though neither wants a big ceremony. Varric asks her after they defeat the big bad guy. They are exhausted and Aura is practically falling down. Varric catches her and asks her in a cute and Varric-y way (I'm too tired to figure out what those words would be) 

17) Let's say the world was saved and you are no longer bound to the Inquisition; what's you quizzy and Varric planning to do?

Good question. They get married, and then think that they'll settle down. They buy a bar and act normal for maybe two months... Then, Aura will get bored and convince Varric to go adventuring with her, but they can always go back home when they want

Hush hush, they keep telling people that "it's not like that" but after a while it's so obvious to everyone that they're inseparable.

It's the best escape in such a time of crisis. That giddy feeling you get when you feel like you found "the one".

If they're not taking themselves seriously, think Varric and Isabela, all is good. It's more of joking around than actual flirting.

9) Who's the first to say "I love you"? When/Where/How do they do it?

Aria, knowing Bianca was a very important person to Varric, didn't know if her feelings were entirely one sided and thus kept them to herself. After a very tense Inquisition meeting where Cullen had really ripped into Aria's decision in battle, Varric peruses her in the hall after telling Cullen to shut the f*ck up. Varric tells Aria that she made the right call and that Cullen has a the hilt of his sword up his ass. Aria, very shaken by the battle doesn't look Varric in the eye and thinks she's failed in her duties. She begins to ramble saying that she doesn't know what she's doing and that Cullen should be in charge, not her. Varric passionately argues that she's exactly what the Inquisition needs, what he needs, not some blowhard like Cullen. He tells her he loves her and he won't stand for her to talk like that ever again. He kisses her there and they continue back into her chambers.

 

Aria gripped the arms of her chair, steadying herself as best she could. Her back hurt from keeping it so tall but it was all she could do not to crumble under Cullen's words.

            "You let the mages go!" he shouted, for the fifteenth time, "Can you not comprehend the chaos that they will cause now? It will take us a week, if not a fortnight to find locate them again!"

            Aria opened her mouth but she could feel her voice about to betray her. She felt everyone's eyes on her skin as if they were burning into her. Finally she spoke, "It was that or leave those villagers to die-"

            "People die all the time, Inquisitor!" Cullen's voice was harsh and cut with the edge of an old, rusty blade. Something akin to personal experience. "And what will you tell the grieving families of the future victims of those mages?! Hmmm?"

            Everything Cullen was saying was true. Aria had turned the thoughts over and over again in her head the moment she gave the order. The mages had given her little choice; they were so pressed for freedom that they didn't care who got in their way. "I couldn't just watch innocents-"

            Cullen's hands slammed into the war table. "So if you don't see the carnage, it's not your responsibility, is that it!?"

            "That's enough, Cullen," Varric's voice was cold. Aria looked to him but he's eyes glared at the templar.

            "I wasn't addressing to you, Varric," snapped Cullen.

            "I'm sorry, but when someone shouts their stupid opinions out for the world to hear it doesn't really matter who you're addressing anymore," said the dwarf, casually adjusting the collar of his leather jacket.

            Enraged, Cullen stepped forward. "You insolent, little-"

            Varric plucked up his faithful crossbow, pointing her at Cullen's heart. "'Little'? Haha, you're really quite observant aren't you?"

            The Inquisitor stood. "That's enough!" Aria's voice cut through the tension in the room like a hot knife through butter. Varric let Bianca down easy, and Cullen stood to face her, unimpressed that she had finally started acting like a leader.

            Aria nodded the Cullen. "Thank you for your counsel, advisor," glancing at Varric, Aria could see that the dwarf was shocked that she had thanked the human for anything. "And thank you all for your attendance. We're done here." It was all Aria could say before the heat of her face forced her dry eyes to sting. She nodded, more so to the floor, and rushed from the room to keep her eyes from tears.

            "Aria!" shouted Varric, but she didn't stop. She couldn't stand to look at him, not now. She needed to be strong. She needed to be confident in her decision. She needed... to be anyone else right now because Aria Cadash wasn't any of those things, she admitted to herself. Aria turned the corner, making a beeline for her chambers, to seal herself away with only her thoughts to keep her company.

            A hand caught her clenched fist and Aria whirled around, her other fist ready to strike. "Woah, there, Lullaby," Varric had an uneasy smile, "I'm not the one you should be hittin'."

            Aria's shoulders dropped as her heart softened at the sight of him. She almost hated herself for it. She wanted him but now was not the time for his jokes or stories. If she was to have him, she would have all of him, but how was that to be when the looming shadow of another woman outcast hers? "Let me be, Varric," she hissed tugging back her fist.

            But Varric wouldn't let go. "Alright, fine. But listen, Lullaby, you need to know you weren't wrong back there," Varric now held her fist in both his hands. "The hilt of that templar's sword is stuck too far up his ass to know that but it's true. You saved some lives today."

            "Yes? And at what price? How many more villages will burn because of my lack of foresight?" Aria spoke through her teeth, her head began to ache with her jaw clinched so tight.

            "You don't know that they'll get that far!"

            "You don't know they won't!" She finally tore her hand from his. "Cullen was right! I failed!" She took a step back to leave.

            Varric took a step forward. "You're right, I don't know that, but I know that Cullen's wrong! You can't just stare an innocent bystander in the face and let them die! He's so wrapped up in his anti-mage bullshit that he can't see past it! You did the right thing!"

            "You can't-"

            "I know what I can and can't do, Aria," he said, taking another step forward. "And I know what I do and don't need. I don't need blowhards like Cullen telling me that saving people is the wrong choice. Neither does this Inquisition." Aria studied his face as it softened. He reached out and took her hands, no longer in fists. "We need a leader who remembers lives are important. I... I need someone like that." Varric paused, almost smiling as if he couldn't believe what he was about to say. Why was he smiling like that? "I love you, Lullaby, and I'm not going to stand any talk against you. Not even from you."

            In reflection, as she pulled the stolen sheets back over her frame, Aria realized that perhaps Varric figured that this proclamation was all too cliché, like something he'd make up in one of his stories. She had smiled at that thought and returned to humming a quiet tune before she fell back asleep in Varric's arms.

            But in that moment, Aria threw her arms around Varric and pushed her lips on his before they stumbled in an embrace back into her chambers.

Hmm, it should be pretty simple I think.    Just start a new thread and tell people to post pics of disney characters that are the equivalents of DA characters. ( That is how those games go right? I've only caught glimpses of fishquisition/petquisition but never actually participated, so I'm not sure of the details. )

Which topic would I start that in though? Scuttle butt? Sorry never started stuff like that before I started the fishquisition on acceident and the Disneyquistion in the romance thread as a way to try and defuse rising tensions^^; So I admit I'm pretty darn clueless ^^;
