TUESDAY 29TH JULY. All day twitter q&a. Gives you all a couple of days to think up q's that aren't 'What's it like to kiss @Team_Barrowman'
Solas VA^^
I wonder if we could ask Brian Bloom if they are going to let him do one of these?
Not sure if this is DA related, though...

Yeah, if he can't confirm Varric as a LI I'm just gonna sit and squirm before I accidentally injure someone with anticipation.

I kind of doubt this is about DAI. He probably has another project he's working on that he wants to talk about. Or he could just have a huge fanbase on twitter and this is a regular thing for him, hard to say.

Hah, love the fact that he's so aware of how much people love to swoon over Ianto and Jack
I hope he'll give some nice info on Solas, the Solassians deserve it.

Thought:
Someone (feel free to claim) had a good idea about disarming traps in combat, and dynamic banter during said combat. Instead of just a companion pointing it out to the PC, it would go more like:
Rogue Companion: Watch out for that! Okay, I got it. *trap disarmed*
Companion #2: Thanks!
Wouldn't it be fun if, not only did they do that, but it responds to different classes and specializations? Like, mages can disarm wards or trap spells according to their specialization (I don't know how yet), but artificers not only disarm traps, they repurpose them for the party?

That would be brilliant! I won't hold my breath for it but I would really enjoy something like that.

On that note, to characters get their own specializations like in 2 (which I liked, because these are techniques they spent years mastering, and one does not become proficient at a weapon because the commanding officer told you to use it), or do we select them like in DAO? Of course, it's one specialization per character, so maybe they come with it, like how Dorian is speculated to be a necromancer, and Solas a rift mage, (logically making Vivienne a knight enchanter, fittingly)?
In any case, what is Varric? Assassin? Tempest? Artificer?

Oh i have wanted them to implement a tactic that sets rogues to immediately disarm traps as soon as they seem them for a while.
I hate having to pause combat and switch to the rogue and go a disarming run every time.

Doesn't Artificier actually have Varric's Pic on the Website? Him being one is a safe Bet.

Varric is likely an Artificer, if anything.
His skillset is based on superior wits and technology.
In fact, one of the coolest things in 2 was watching him load a bomb into Bianca.

I'm not quite sure the answer to that one... I know someone said they saw in the demo that Iron Bull was a "reaver", so that would make sense that they all have their classes chosen for them but they aren't unique to themselves like "vengeance" and "tevinter fugitive" were in DA2. And it definitely makes sense for Dorian to be a necromancer, Solas to be a rift mage, and Viv to be knight enchanter, so that's my guess. ![]()

We don't know anything about Tempest, yet. Artificer does seem the most likely, because Bianca.
Cole's an assassin, almost certainly, making Sera a tempest?

He's def not an assassin, that's most likely Cole. But what do we know about tempest? I would bet on Varric as an Artificer.

I agree that Sera is most likely the tempest, Cole assassin and Varric artificer.

If you really look at it though, everything makes sense.
Warriors:
Cassandra: Templar
Iron Bull: Reaver
Blackwall: Champion
Rogues:
Sera: Tempest
Varric: Artifacer
Cole: Assassin
Mages:
Dorian: Necromancer
Solas: Rift Mage
Viviene: Knight Enchanter
Those all fit a little too perfectly to not be the case.

Unless they retconned what a reaper IS, I really don't want one in my game.
Although insensitivity to pain seems like Iron Bull.
So who's the champion and who's the templar?
Either one could fit either Cassandra (noble, does good things because good, but also in service to the chantry) or Blackwall (apparently a gray warden to help people, but we don't know who he was before that, and it wouldn't be the first time a warden was a templar).
I'm also guessing Cullen is a templar, Leliana is an assassin (or tempest, since we don't know anything about that), Josephine is a mage? A mage what?

I know, it seems weird to me that he's a reaver -- especially since he hates demons so much yet Reavers are taught by demons so... I think it's a retconn. xD; I really see no other way for it to make sense for his character.
I'm thinking Cass = templar and Blackwall = Champion, since Cass is a seeker and probably more inclined to be a templar than he would be.

Blackwall makes more sense as a Champion than a Templar. His personality is Champion incarnate. Him being a templar would just be a bit of backstory that doesn't add much to him.

Consider that the dwarf from Golems of Amgarak was also a Reaver.

Agreed. and since Cass is a seeker she has more ties to the Templars and probably knows those skills.

For the moment, Saarabas (pictured to my left) seems like a knight enchanter, since she's got that Avenline/Cassandra-were-they-mages thing going on, but rift mage is a possibility, because green thing in her hand. Hadn't decided on Lady Cadash, though. If she's former carta, maybe assassin?
I won't know until I see some stats, though. Artificer sounds fun, but I'm rarely good at crafting. I don't like having to wander all over Thedas to find my crafting components.
