My immediate thought was, "is she a Tranquil?"

 

God tranquil are already kind of disturbing. Adding that veil to them would be creepy as hell.

So the officialvarrictethras on tumblr just posted that Patrick Weeks was spoken to at SDCC and that the marketing team is responsible for the delay in love interest info- said they want there to be some 'mystery' to it... But hopefully we will hear soon. Sigh

 

Oh we like mystery just not when it comes to who the romances are I think the rule of thumb is that we don't want to see any footage of the romances, or know what the subplot of each of them will be. By all means keep all of that top secret. But the only thing I want to know is WHO is available beforehand. This is because

 

a. Race gating is a thing now and I don't want to find out I rolled the wrong race late into the game

b. I don't want to ignore all the other LIs only to find out Varric will be like Aveline and I end up having no romantic arc at all

c. I like to plan my characters ahead of time, one big factor is who they will be paired up with

d. I would buy the mystery thing if only 4 were announced or something but there's only 2 left!

Me too! I didn't realize they were unpopular 0_o I can't get enough of rogues! I just saw some footage of a rogue in action in the Cullen thread and throwing knives are confirmed! I've always wanted to do that with my rogues! My only complaint before was that I had to switch to a bow if I wanted to do a ranged attack. I like how I can keep my daggers and create some distance if I need to now.

I love rogues too, The Queen of Ferelden (well me anyway) is a rogue... I'm looking forward to playing one far more than anything else right now.

 

Re: The marketing team, do they SEE this mess?  Do they understand? And like Twiggy said, it seems a bit silly to just keep two unannounced, not to mention cruel, we don't want to know everything.  I feel for the people that want to go on media blackout but are waiting for the last two... fingers crossed for GamesCom I guess...

Maybe they put a veil on their tranquil in Orlais because the mark on their forehead is "unsightly". I could imagine them doing something like that, I just get the feeling they like everything to be pretty. Although every time I see that screenshot it just reminds me of swtor lol

I hadn't heard that! All I had heard was a little bit of info (very little) about the Cullen and Dorian romances.

What either of those mean, specifically, I don't think anyone knows, but fans of both seem pretty happy about the news.

That is all there was to it.  That's why I said very little bit of information. It caused a bit of celebration in the Dorian thread, followed by a tiny bit of panic over what exactly was meant by the word powerful. (And whether powerful would end up meaning tragic.) Whether those were the ones he was asked about, or if he just mentioned those randomly, I don't know.
