I'm gonna have to agree with you here, I think Vivi is out at this point and Varric/Solas are in.

Solas/Bi/all races (we've had a Bi elf in every game since DAO)
Varric/straight/racegated
With an existing member of the Li batch being the other race-gate. I'd put my money on Cullen, he expresses disdain for dwarves in DAO. Which would be okay in this scenario because Varric would make up for that spot since he'd be available to F!dwarves.

The NPC flirt option would probably be a lesbian female, I'll go with Celene. ( Bioware thought the flirt option was noteworthy enough to mention, so I'm guessing it'll be a little more fleshed out than previous flirt options in the other games. )

The reason why I say this is because of two things:

1.) David Gaider said all gender/sexualities will have equal representation in DAI but that may not meet an individuals definition of "fair." He also said that they've prioritized two romances for every/race/gender/sexuality combo & that's as far as their obligation takes them.
"In my opinion, "fair" is "I, as a player, am not treated as an afterthought. It is not "I get exactly the same number of choices as everyone else" or "I am being oppressed by not getting choices I personally want."

This particular combo of LI's would fit that bill quite nicely. Everyone's orientation gets equal representation, but lesbians will get Celene which won't be a full romance and people will likely not see as being fair.

2.) Vivienne not being an option would leave straight men with the same number of options they've had since DAO. This is relevent because of what David Gaider said at the GaymerX panel:

"But if you are going to look at the total number of romances, like, I had two options in DAO and two options in DA2 and I still have two options in DAI, but there are other people getting options and you’re going to say, wait, why aren’t I getting all the options? Well that’s too f****** bad."

This lines up with what he was saying in the romance thread about equal options and seems to me he's preparing some group for heartbreak.
Let's take a look at this though, lesbians/gays only had one option in DAO and straight males/females had two.
In DA2 however, lesbians/gays/straight males had two and straight females had three options of LI. ( including DLC Sebastian, but for those of you who argue that he doesn't really count, just look at the remaining potential LI's in Inquisition. We have three men vs one woman, the odds of straight women being the ones left out is very unlikely. ) So, the only group that has had two romance options in BOTH games was straight males, therefore Gaider had to be talking about them. And so my conclusion is that Vivi won't be Bi like I previously thought...or likely available at all. Because I think she fits into that category of "ain't got time for your business" the Devs talked about.

 

Sorry about wall of text...I've just thought about this alot, so I have much to say about it.

Knowing my luck, that's exactly what will happen.

Guys, Allan just posted this in the Solas thread. It's pretty much what Sheryl said afterward, but I thought you all might want to see it anyway:

 

Sheryl's post is more "Come to grips with the fact that the reveal might not happen before the game gets released.  If it does, then yay, but if not... you aren't getting further upset/frustrated with each passing day that the announcement doesn't happen."

 

(Spoken as someone that doesn't know the details of why the reveals even occurred for the known LIs, which is possibly similar to how much Sheryl knows).

No haven't gotten around to buying KOTOR yet, been flooded in. That window broke from anger I am not a patient person and the possibility of not knowing probably one of the two things left that I care about until launch angers me greatly..

Why is it every time I leave the thread, I come back to wacky hijinks? I'm starting to feel like a sitcom dad.

 

I'm not gonna argue against any particular theory at this point - we've all got things we think will happen - but I feel the need to argue with one specific idea. There is not the slightest chance the marketing department is tying all their plans around "don't make people on the forum angry!" That is simply not happening.

I agree, it doesn't matter to them if the forum get upset. They have other concerns, I am just amazed that they don't seem to want to get all this romance stuff out of the way. I mean, people are flooding the Q&A sessions with questions like "is ___ available and will ___ like my dwarf?" and as much as I care about the romances, there are so many other things to focus on. 

 

I guess they'd rather keep people talking, even if it's not about the whole game. I mean, honestly, people on the forum are pretty invested in finding out what the other romance paths are. They're upset, but they're invested. From a purely marketing perspective that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Warden, Leliana, Zevran, Hawke, Zevran again? You can get Alistair into the mix, but not at the same time.

So has anyone ever played a game where they named their character something and another important character had that name?

 

I named my Amell Hadrian, but the closest to that was Hadriana. Other than that my favorite warden was Rhiannon and the was a "Riannon's Floor" in the warden base in the Legacy DLC. I have had to mark out a few planned names that I hadn't used yet though.

Of the top of my head: the Warden, Leliana, Zevran and Hawke/Fenris. And she's implied to have slept with Anders. But I'm sure this is just the tip of the iceberg. She has a lot of time to get freaky at the brothels and the hanged man.
