You dont mean Dwarkin, do you?
The mad dwarf from awakening that makes the explosives? Isnt his brother named Jarvis?
No I remember Dwakin, he's my third favorite dwarf in the entire series, right behind Varric and Dagna and just ahead of Sigrun

if we don't get a dwarf romance this game I really hope we get a good one next game.

Shows what i know. I just played that game too.
So, how is everyone in here going to deal with the *real* Bianca issue?
Let's say she randomly shows up in game.
Let's say the Inquisitor finds her up to her neck in a sea of Carta Dwarves fighting for her life or something.
I would save her. If Varric loved her, then she must be awesome and I want to befriend her. I would hate it if a meeting with her turn into a stupid cat fight. Or even worse, if we have to mercy kill her.
For varrics sake save her and treat her well, but if she is evil in anyway its the murder knife for her :<
Hm... interesting. What if she indeed does have questionable morals..
Would you be willing to knife her in front of Varric?
well let me clarify evil, if she breaks varrics heart ![]()

Gotta agree.
I love Varric. Loving him means I want him to be happy. And if that happiness ends up meaning reuniting him with his old flame, then as painful as that might be for me/my Inquisitor, that is what I/she will do.
Because Varric deserves to be happy, dammit.
...why aren't you guys in charge of marketing?
Because Bioware and EA haven't made us an offer yet.

By "mercy kill" do you mean something similar to Bartrand?

Yeah, something like Bartrand, Wesley or Karl. I'm getting sick and tired of that particular trope.

Ooooh O.O what if Bianca's a secret companion who replaces Varric if you have to mercy kill him after he falls prey to the red shard...
Damn that story would break my heart but it'd be fascinating.
This would hardcore depend on which of my Inquisitors I was playing.
What would be the situation where I might have to knife her?
Let's say, in order to survive the cutthroat merchants guild (whoever it was that she said was after them in the comics. I believe it was either the merchant guild or the Carta), she had to do some questionable things. Let's say she's entangled with these "agents of chaos." Let's say her continued existence would be detrimental to the Inquisition's cause.
And yet, to complicate things, Varric's feelings start to get in the way of his judgement, and she tries to play up to that, while at the same time still genuinely loves him.
Yar but if she breaks his heart MURDER KNIFE TIME!
Yep, no one hurts /damages our dwarf and lives.
Because Bioware and EA haven't made us an offer yet.
I still say i could market their games better then they could. Same with Nintendo.
As bad as Biowares marketing is, no one is worse than Nintendo.

This is what is bugging me. What happens if you give him the lyrium shard? It is a part of the crossbow. That would be unbelievable plot armor if it doesn't affect him in the slightest.

I'm torn about whether not I'd want her as an LI in this situation. On the one hand, fem!Dwarf LI ftw, and Bianca sounds pretty awesome if Varric was in love with her. But on the other hand, that'd be the worst twist on Bioware's "dead paramour" trope ever.

To be fair, once its refined, the shard is apparently "fine".
Apparently sandal knows how to make it "safe".
Im using "quotations" because i think that their "excuse" is a bit too "convenient".
("Reapers")
BUT BUT TEH FEELZ!
Spoiler
Well, it's kind of boring to have the same trope over and over. In DA2 alone, there's, at the top of my head, at least four times where there's a mercy kill involved for pure feelz and/or major character development.
As previously mentioned, we have Bartrand, Wesley and Karl. We may also have to mercy kill our sibling in the deep roads. Oh joy of joys!

So Meredith just got a botched enchantment job, then.

If you Rival Anders, he also asks you to mercy kill him.

Well Meredith doesnt so much have an enchanted sword as much as a sword made of pure, unrefined, red lyrium. Thats how i took it anyway.
