Varric's all about the form Have you seen his DA2 wardrobe? He likes to keep things styling. Sometimes though, the stylish things can also be the practical/functional things as well. Bianca's a prime example .

I wonder what the reasoning is for why marketing hasn't revealed the rest of the two love interest yet.
They may not have planned to do so ahead of time, but I don't think there needs to be anything more than a twitter post that says who the rest of the love interests are and who they are available for. I think that would generate more discussion and hype than what we've got right now.

...He likes about like a typical dwarf to me, plus a crossbow; which admittedly he did have custom commissioned from the Carta but still, It isn't like he stumbles around in elegant silk robes like a noble or anything truly amazing, He wears leather for the Maker's sake.

Varric may have some practical attitudes, but he likes to be a little on the flashy side too . It's all part of the persona he's built up of the clever knowledge broker who can talk his way out of any situation.

It's pretty obvious that they were posting anti-Varricmance comments just to anger and argue e.g "Varric should remain a bro lol (insert emoticon)"

Varric seems more function over form, his Duster from DA 2 was made for combat, not lounging, hence it being made of leather, it had the gilded buckles sure, but that's just being a dwarf, they need precious metals on their person or they go insane. Admittedly his appearance has changed a bit, but as for DA 2 I'd point it's fairly practical.
Also that isn't a tunic...Its a onesy...ew.
I was palling around with a guy in his Pajama's an entire game and didn't even notice it because of the coat ._. Bioware is clever.
