Wait no! One of us has to have ideas worth listening to. We're the OPs of this thread! It's our job to set the tone for the rest of it. If we can't be relied on to provide the thread with good ideas, then who shall they turn to?

...

Clockwork... you may have only gotten a position as one of the OPs of this thread because of your insanely accurate username but it looks like you're our only hope now. Do the Varric thread proud! :P

Well it's not me! I've proven time and time again that I'm a ticking time bomb of bad ideas and sexy fire fighter based madness.

Help us Clockwork, you're our only hope.

Don't feel bummed. I think we can appreciate that the intentions certainly weren't anything but to be fun.  It's just sometimes different on the other side.

I remember being in a phone interview with someone and he made a comment about how he loved BioWare and could see our office from his home.  I'm sure he meant well, but the instinctual response came across to "step away from the windows."

The first time I saw someone else post a picture of me I was very "WHOA."  And then it was sort of like "Okaaaaay, I guess that's a thing.  The picture isn't a problem really, but I guess that just reinforces that I'm a public facing person now and I should be cognizant of it with future posts."  Basically, no matter how much I say "My tweets are my own" the reality is that they aren't.  It's different than when I had 8 followers and they were all friends from Edmonton.  Sometimes I can forget that though, but for the most part people's intentions are good and just a "whoa timeout" helps.

As for apologizing, remember that I'm a Canadian (and therefore level 9999999 at apologizing): I find that when I offend someone all I really need to do is say "Sorry."  I say it a lot.  I'm pretty good at it.  Most of the time it works pretty well for minor things like this.  But I've rambled on a lot as it is.  Sorry!

Cheers.

And we forgot her Birthday too :P We need to work on being better fans :P.

The same twitter posted this, pretty cute IMO, I added her/him to the OP

Apparently it started off as a joke about trying to hide a dwarf in Orlais.

Just a thought, since you're the official MS Paint artist of BSN, have you ever thought of contributing to the Varric fanart collection? We have weekly prompts/contests. This week the prompt is Fabulously Orlesian.  :kissing:

Thank you for taking the time to post in here Mr. Schumacher! I feel terrible about the whole thing but I understand why it was inappropriate and came across as creepy. I definitely didn't mean any offense by it, we were just getting a little lonely here in the Varric thread with the lack of dev posts, so well..you saw the result. It was meant as a joke but obviously it wasn't a very good one and I'll make sure to tread more carefully from now on. I certainly don't want to make Mary or any of the Devs feel uncomfortable. So, again I'm very, very, sorry and I'll make sure to think things through more in the future...

There's an upside to everything.

And this is why we're now relying on Clockwork for the good ideas. Don't listen to anything I say.

EDIT: Wow people were awfully quick to like this, I dunno if I should feel offended or not  :P

Personally, I blame the Internet. It doesn't warn us that our spur of the moment ideas are horrible. We need a built in EDI. :P

No worries.

My main reason for not posting in the thread is mostly "because I hadn't posted in it already."  (I have a huge bias to simply click on the little speech balloon).  I have a few that I gravitate to because I've posted a lot in there already, but I wouldn't read too much into a lack of dev posts.  Varric is a popular character and has a lot of fans, we do know this. :)
