I'm just worried he'll get labeled as a broody/emo character by the general public. Granted he is rather broody. But he's also mentally unstable and never properly matured. I think it makes for an interesting combo. If I can listen to Anders preach about the plight of the mages and still love him. Think I can get Cole being a little sad.

 

I'll admit, this was me the first time I saw him .   "Dangit, we got another emo in the party!" lol But I hadn't read Asunder, so it was a stupid assumption on my part (don't judge a book by it's cover and all ). I still think he's a little broody but emo isn't a word I'd use anymore. That said, I think he's a very interesting addition to DA3.

Eh, Cole was kind of an Abomination; I don't think i'll be missing him much.

We don't know that he's a demon, he's definitely a spirit, and definitely unstable. But I don't think he's a demon.

Solas' spot may change, I admit to not knowing much about his character. Cullen will stay though, I just find him completely uninteresting.

An interesting thing I've noticed is that many Varricmancers seem to also be interested in Iron Bull as an LI, while many Solas fans aren't. Intereeesting. Will need to see more charts. I just said that last sentence in my head in Mordin's voice... it wasn't even intended.

Good morning (afternoon)! I see we are making romance lists- and I realized that I may be the only Varricmancer that isn't also interested in Iron Bull... Like, he's the last on my list, if I ever romance him at all (at this point, it could change)

6. Josephine (she could move up, depending on her personality, I don't feel like I know enough about her yet)

I wouldn't say I'm too interested in Iron Bull, even though I've been wanting a Qunari romance since DAO. I'm just curious to see how a romance with a Qunari would play out. So, I shall romance him at least once...for science!

I don't even care if it turns out that he is a demon, Cole brings out the mama bear in me! So I'm going to take care of him and protect him from anyone who wants to hurt him.

Aside from Iron Bull, our list is very similar.   And hey, that's okay, we all have different tastes. In fact, I'm quite surprised at seeing how many people are interested in him, I figured he'd be slightly unpopular due to his appearance, but it seems that hasn't deterred as many people as I thought it might.

 

For me, I'm not a big fan of Iron Bull's appearance, but I'm interested in him for what we know about him. (And the fact that he's voiced by Freddie Prinze Jr. might have a little something to do with my interest as well...)

It's certainly possible, but he also has good intentions, even when he kills people. That's not something demons do. He was also human at one point. Meaning that maybe part of him is still human, and therefore he can learn blood magic like any other mage could.

As for Iron Bull- I can see why people like him, and he seem like he will be pretty funny, but his story of being in the Qun but not always following the Qun has me kinda nervous about a relationship with him... Like I wouldn't know if he would turn on my elf one day if his bosses asked him to or something :/ idk, I'll have to get to know him better. (Also, I don't find him conventionally attractive lol but that easily changes with personality- aka mass effect)

Of course, I could fall into the Varric romance pattern where I romance him basically all the time (like I did Alistair and Anders)

No, That was what some demon claimed, which means it could as easily be a lie.

 

There are no records of Cole, that could be because of what the demon and they were forgotten and destroyed, or it could have all been a lie.

 

And good intentions? Murdering people because he needs to feel "real" is a good intention now?

I'm the opposite, every-time I hear Bull talk I see James Vega. It's really stupid but I can't help it and I'm afraid it's gonna ruin the immersion for me.
