Pfft, 41 isn't old!

On another website I work for, we have a 55-year-old model. She's literally one of the TOP EARNING models of that website. (semi-NSFW article about her)

These days there are some top rising plus sized and/or darker skinned cosplayers who are just plain AMAZING. So eff the haters!

What an amazing lady, I love her... very inspiring... <3 she really has the crone thing going on. (and by crone I mean in the spiritual sense, wisdom, freedom, and personal power, I love that), I'm getting there, I give far less of a **** about things than I used to.. :D

p.s. I know 41 isn't old haha, at all!

Hehehe I"m the same way I loved cosplaying but I hated the pictures though I did like taking them (but I actually asked if it was okay first) I got this weird fear of cameras so people just coming up and snapping my photo freaks me out a little. Just take a friend with you to be on photo bomb duty thats what I'm going to do next time.

Going to remember that very much, last year I had a group costume planned with my friend and we got told we were too plus sized to do it, it ended with a loss of a sale, a lot of complaining and backing out of the group cosplay unfortunately. Going to try to stick to my idea for this year though. (despite being the utterly wrong body type for it)

I found this awesome Marian Hawke cosplay.

I may not be plus, but I have a banana shaped body, which is technically unsuitable for ALMOST EVERY FEMALE CHARACTER.

Then again I was the biggest girl with the smallest boobs when cast for a role in Marco Polo. What matters is that I was cast. As a featured extra even.

Yeah, I received comments from the other models who suggest I lose weight and grow my hair out. Eff them! I got cast the way I already look, why change it!

HATERS GONNA HATE BUT COSPLAYAHS GOTTA COSPLAY!

My advice if anybody is looking for a self-esteem boost, look-up people who have something in common with you and how successful they are, no matter their age, skin tone, body shape, bust size, etc.

Surround yourself with positive people, even if it's only online.

Every little bit helps. I have a friend who is tall, plus sized with implants (but she was always too busty, even before surgery, for most bras available) who says she WISHED she looked LIKE ME to begin with! (EDIT: I always meant to say "she WISHED she looked like me")

That is a beautiful cosplay (and the outfit looks much better than what was give in game too  ) As silly as it sounds that actually does make me feel a lot better I'm not particularity sensitive about my weight but I get sensitive about it when everyone tells me I should be especially when it comes to things I'd like to cosplay.  Thank you for this wonderful message and that picture of that awesome fem hawke cosplay brightened my morning right up  ^_^

I don't cosplay either, but it's amazing what level of detail there are on some costumes!

Also the amount of work that people put into it is inspiring :)

Most amazing "cosplay" i have ever seen was technically a Halloween costume.

We were all working on Halloween and some Asian lady came as the girl from The Ring. And she didnt look kind of like the girl from The Ring. She looked EXACTLY like the girl from The Ring.

And she could really play the part well.

All day you would see people turn corners and shout "****!!!!"

Oh dear, I can imagine! Sounds extremely creepy, I would most likely have started crying. I'm such a scaredy-cat, I can't watch horror films without turning my snark up to 11 and talk my way through the whole thing. Let's just say that I felt physically sick watching the Ring and Ringu...

I'm always jealous by those who can sew their own amazing cosplay outfits. They look so good. *_*

I am of the belief that you don't need to sew to be amazing. :)

However, I do recall a girl who built a pair of wings out of thousands of ostrich feathers!

That is insane! I'm not sure whether to be impressed or worried by that level of dedication.

I guess it's not over until it's over?  I want Solas too so I'm glad about that.

Consideting Viv and Solas could fill the mage spot and only Varric can fill the rogue spot, we still have a decent chance.

Nah, I'm sure there are a lot of people who feel the same way. But the important thing to remember is that it's not over until the devs say it's over. So as far as I'm concerned, there is still hope.

I really appreciate posts like these. I'm slowly trying to build my body confidence after years of being unable to look in the mirror, part of which has me using my own pictures so I can't hide from myself... It's a slow process, and my pregnancy is going to make it even more difficult, I think, but I don't want my child inheriting my awful self-esteem.

All advice is helpful advice, and I love hearing from people who are body-confident. It gives me something to aspire to :)

Varric still has a decent chance as far as I can tell.  Honestly, I'd be a bit surprised if Vivienne is the last romance option, given that would mean every single female that is in the main group is a romance option (or was romanceable in an old game).  Though that's just a random thought that popped in my head.

Still keep the flame of hope alive Varricmancers!

We do, no matter what anyone says. I have to say though, bringing him back dug up all that hope I forgot about back when DA2 hadn't come out. Part of me still believes that they wouldn't string us along like this , not for this amount of time knowing we said we could take a no or even expected a no the entire time. It's one thing keeping quiet about a brand new character but people have waited for Varric for a LONG time and they know this. We said we could take a no months and months ago and they still haven't said anything. I decided to believe this meant he was going to be an LI because I can't imagine them doing this knowing it would cause worse heartbreak. Doesn't seem like them to build hope up like that when the fanbase pretty much gave them permission to dash those hopes early.

Three Days gone. Came back home to see the Thread blew up by at least 75 Pages. Expected some kind of Confirmation or Hint.  Found out, Solas is "all-but-confirmed" like Iron Bull was. Thought to myself:

Just wanted to say that I love seeing posts like these too. Saying I'm fat would be overdoing it but at just-under plus size I'm certainly not what society considers my ideal weight either and I struggled with disordered eating in the past (not a full-blown eating disorder, but it definitely wasn't healthy). It always makes me happy to see people being confident about their bodies and makes me feel better about mine too. I'm much more accepting of by body than I used to be, but every bit helps. Yay for loving yourself and your body as it is. :)

I don't think marketing thinks that way, unfortunately. I'm assuming they haven't done the last reveals because they don't feel like they are ready to reveal yet for some reason, but who knows. Personally, I'm focusing on assuming Varric isn't an LI for now. If it turns out I'm wrong, that's great, but it's just easier on me right now to make that assumption. Everyone deals with the potential disapointment (or excitement) in their own way, of course.

Oh, need some opinion.

What coloured hair should I cosplay Varric with?

Dragon Age 2 dark blonde or Dragon Age Inquisition reddish brown?

I noticed some people have gone modding/photoshopping DA2 Varric's hair.

I intend to cosplay the original outfit.
