Oh, need some opinion.

What coloured hair should I cosplay Varric with?

Dragon Age 2 dark blonde or Dragon Age Inquisition reddish brown?

I noticed some people have gone modding/photoshopping DA2 Varric's hair.

I intend to cosplay the original outfit.

Are you weraing a chest wig?

I would go blonde! But that may be my Nordic bias...

Haha, maybe? Just kidding.

I don't have that much cleavage (or boobies) to begin with so I might just paint on some chest stubble.

OR BETTER YET, make a faux fur bandeau bra.

If you're going original, I suggest going original.

Dark blonde it is!

Option A, it's almost perfect if you cut of a few centimeters and do a half ponytail!

I think option A with the half-updo Twilight Princess suggested sounds fantastic.

*points to the do mages deserve freedom thread*

urgh I need a breather. There are very few subjects that actually offend me, but when you advocate and defend genocide. In real life. Then we have a problem.

Most of the other threads have went off the deep end and into the dark and terrifying side, this thread and a few others are the only safe havens left.

Wow. Glad I never venture out past the borders of the Varric thread. I really could never imagine anyone picking to side with the templars outright- maybe as a second play through "just to see what happens" ...LET ALONE defend actual genocide...

Right, back to Varric

Yeah, I wish it wasn't like this. And as I said, I'm usually very hard to offend. But that just hit right in one of my soft spots.

Ugh. I just read that thread and that's awful. I did also just want to point out, though, even though I'm sure you didn't mean anything bad by it, that someone having a poor sense of morality is not the same as being "insane". There are plenty of people with mental illness, like myself, who do not think like those people in that thread. Sorry for taking the thread off topic.

I feel that thread is still mostly a respectful discussion around an issue that's pretty much designed to not have a clear answer. As far as I can tell there was only one poster who went all "I love killing all the things because it makes me tingly in my special parts, oh and when XXX did XXX back in XXX? Totally awesome lolzzz".

I didn't even give it a Shot. These Topics are usually down the Drain by the second or third Post. As soon as Real Life Comparisons are drawn all Arguments cease to exist and it's only mud slinging left.

Oh no of course I didn't mean that! I know that people with mental illness can have and do have a very deep sense of morality! It's the logic behind his reasoning that i found insane as in this does not make any sense and is well... crazy! I don't know how to explain it better, but I definitely did not mean to imply anything about people with mental illness and I'm very sorry if that's how it came across.

I figured you didn't mean anything wrong with it, but you seemed reasonable so I figured you'd listen if I said something. I'd try to use something in the vain of "illogical" or "ridiculous" to describe their opinions. :)

I will do that in the future. :) He just got me really angry so I wasn't thinking straight.

I think "insane" is just a word that is such a part of common vernacular by now that it's use is more commonly related to things outside of actual mental illness.

Yeah, I understand how that happens. Thanks for listening. :)

I think a lot of people don't think of mental illness when they use that word, but if you look at how every time a mass murder happens lots of people, including the media, says that only someone who is mentally ill could do something like that, it obviously still affects our conceptions of mental illness.

Anyways, I'll stop taking the thread off topic so we can talk about Varric's greatness again. :D
