I don't know about sending Josephine, those didn't seem like reasonable people. I think I'd have to go with Cullen.
Just because a decision is possible doesn't make it a GOOD decision.

Good afternoon everyone! I see some threads are getting weird again... all the better to camp out here...
Weird/scary, same as always *sigh*
Okay, so if we can pick an adviser to do a certain task, it makes me wonder if, during the demo video, we could send Cullen or Josephine to Redcliff instead, and get different results?
I think so! Sending Cullen into a lair of Tevinter mages. Sounds like a great plan! What could possibly go wrong? xD

I think they implied that. It was probably why Leli was so pissed off if we could have sent Cullen instead...
I intend to ask all of them what THEY think before I make decisions and go from there lol
I think sending Cullen on that particular mission might be a better option from what we've seen... I'm glad we've been given that hint, because I really, really would like to avoid any scene with a companion/advisor being tortured. ![]()
I wonder if we have the option to not send any of them and just go in ourselves? We ended up going there anyway...

I intend to act like a ruthless know it all dictator because that is how my Inquisition will be run.

You do that, I'm going to turn my inquisition into a hippie collective. We'll sing songs and bake cakes all day long.
Probably going to do one of each across three games, provided I don't find out such a thing results in companion/adviser death, which I doubt if the inquisitor was only level 7.
Probably do a primary-force run, then a primary-secrets, and a primary-trade. Just to see.

Oh man, I wish I could draw! I just had a mental image of IB holding a plate of cookies while wearing an apron and looking like he hates life ![]()

*high-fives*
I'm seriously one of those people who can never make myself do an evil/ruthless run. The closest I got to being a ****** in any game was my Shepard in Mass Effect who had a slight temper and was like 20% Renegade... and even then, I only did Renegade when it was people who deserved it, like Kai Leng. ![]()

Hahaha, I love this idea, oh yes I do ![]()
So....what side is Saarabas, force, trade, or secrets...? ![]()

I'm going to have a hard time sending Josephine into dangerous situations.
I'm going to have a hard time sending anyone into dangerous situations... :s I know Cullen and Leliana can hold their own, but I would blame myself pretty hard if something went wrong.

It may or may not be a comfort, but I'm sure our Advisers are so unique that they'll have a considerable amount of plot armor. I'm expecting the worst fallout we'll get from sending the "wrong" Adviser on the wrong mission will be approval damage. Enough bad decisions and maybe they'll leave or die.
Not to mention the ability to metagame the whole process and just save/reload until you find the best outcome.

._. Given i was born after the Hippie movement (although not by much all things considering) i'd say that would be an odd stance to take with a militant order all things considering.

Yeah, this is why I'm going to love having characters like Varric and Josephine in my inquisition. I always go for killing as few people as possible.

After the video with Leliana, I'm totally afraid of sending one of my advisors somewhere and them ending up tortured or killed. It sounds like we will have a lot of control over what happens, which does make it interesting but I'll probably be constantly be checking the wiki to see what the consequences of my choices will be, despite the fact that I'd rather not spoil the plot. ![]()

The first time around I'm just going to play the game and do what feels right to see how badly I mess up as a leader ![]()
Though I am going to check around wiki to find out where to find the companions and how to get them
I did the same for DA2 which I otherwise knew nothing about. I read the part where if you don't go to the mansion right away with Fenris you can't get him ![]()
Send Cullen to Redcliffe! His torture at the hands of blood mages did wonders for his complexion. He just needs a few more jabs to his testicles with red hot pokers and he'll transform into Chris Hemsworth.

I always figured there would be some kind of positive use of blood magic. ![]()
