I find monoracial romances to be a bit dull.  Although I did have an idea for an elf afraid of having nonelf children.  Thought Solas would be as much before someone corrected me.

I can't really decide if I want to romance Bull with a qunari mage, or dalish mage first... I have the class down pat, just not the race. xP

 

Ha, yeah, I get it. He seems so perfect for a mage, right? All that disagreement potential.

 

I have a lot more trouble thinking of a possible match for Varric. (And yes, all these ideas change once we get to play, but it's so fun to plan anyway)

My Dalish slated for Iron Bull is a mage, so he gets to be the Asari in the Asari/Krogan couple, AND to be creeped out by magic!

Oh I'm in the same boat I really hope she's not gated against humans because I'm picturing a human warrior for her. I don't want to pair her with an elf because she hates nature and the elven Inquisitors are Dalish.

Human could be fun, if she's wary of them like some alienage elves are. 

 

Given how she reacts to Cole, a mage could be fun.

 

Dorian and a qunari is always fun, like a Thedasian Romeo and Juliet.

It's from Mass Effect.  In 2, you meet an Asari who's being courted by a Krogan and reading her poetry.  She's not sure if he wants her because he wants kids, or if he wants her for her.  You can get her to admit that he told her he'd love their girls whether they were Asari or not, and talk her into taking him back. 

 

I had a friend tell me they come back in 3.

you find his dead body holding a letter to her, talking about a flower they planted together.  I wanted to slap my friend.

 

Some have theorized Iron Bull to be quite intelligent and lyrical, like the one on the banter thread where Sera pretends to be the Elder Tree, and Iron Bull talks her down with haiku.

Oh...I remember those parts, now... yeah... I think I blocked that from my memory, but I remember when I finally noticed who the dead krogan was. :c

 

I would really, really love it if Bull was more clever than his appearance led to believe.  Enough with the big beefy guys being simple minded stereotype. That would be perfect.

If it helps, lots of people on Solas thread (including myself) think he is the most clearly ungated character given what he know of his personality. But it does seem human PCs have less restrictions. In my opinion, the characters with the most chance to have gates are Vivienne, Cullen, Cassandra and Varric.

Dwarves get no respect. What was it, only 7% of players did a dwarf on their first play through of DAO? That's what I heard
