Me too! When I first played DA:O I had no idea what the romance content would be like. I was in heaven when I first romanced Alistair because unlike a movie or show I could ship these two characters and it would happen!!!

 

I wasn't even interested in video game romance until I played Origins... I blame that game on bringing out the romantic in me. xP

Same here. And after I played Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age II, then I went to Mass Effect 1,2, then three...AND after that, then I played Jade Empire haha.

 

I got addicted to Bioware games.

Same here. Although so far, only Dragon Age and Mass Effect. I got SWTOR for free on Origin so I may try that out eventually.

Same here as well. There's been a handful of video game love stories that I've liked over the years but not many. I think it's because a lot of them don't really take the time to develop. It's just "Oh that's your love interest, better go save them."

 

I think what's most important in a good love story that often gets glossed over is "why do you love this person".

Bioware is also a place for me to be sapppy and romantic too.

 

When it comes to affection and love towards family and friends, I show them a ton and that's fine with me.

 

When it ccomes to relationships I can't do it...but I'm all over Bioware romances haha

I played KotOR first and loved it. Then I got into Mass Effect and as soon as I was done with ME3 I picked up Origins. It's true, you get addicted. I enjoy other video games but Bioware's are special. It's the combination of the world building, characters and your ability to shape your own protagonist. 

 

Edit: Oh and when it comes to romances, the ones I've played have ranged from good to omg why isn't this person real. So many feels, but that's just the mark of great story telling.

I'm always hesitant to go into the Sera thread despite her being one of my favorite characters (because people often have heated discussion in there and I'm more just a casual talker), and when I do go in of course someone is trolling.

Oh thankfully no, I decided to stay away from that one soon after it started. It's just too dangerous for me to even look at. xD
