Does anyone know where I can find a good picture of Sera? Cause I would love to try and see how someone thinks an elf looks like a dwarf, I'd also like to know how dwarf is an insult too, cause last time I checked dwarfs are pretty f**king awesome.

I think she's quite pretty, maybe not in a conventional way. But this sounds like someone who was bitter that they can't romance her so now they're bad mouthing her looks. Guys do that sometimes.

I find her features attractive. Am I the only one who doesn't understand that guy when he says "pig nose"? That's just... what? How is that a pig nose? It's so insulting yet hilarious because her nose is probably one of the most realistic looking noses in a Dragon Age game, yet.

Hmmm nope she still looks like an elf to me (and one my Tatenda qunari mage is looking quite forward to romancing) Unless Sera turns out to be as short as Varric and the ears are fake I would say she looks nothing like a dwarf.

I got that feeling too, it just sucks that they feel the need to do that. It's so unnecessary.

Sometimes people (Not going to say it's just men) forget that this is not Waifu/Husbando Simulator 2014. They end up getting uppity about stuff like sexual orientation and it's really stupid.

Yes ma'am! And the worst part is that for these people, the surface is all. They don't care about Cass and Sera's personalities because THEIR JAWLINES ARE WRONG! 

 

It's hard to care about a personality we know nothing about.   A few lines and quotes tells us virtually nothing, all we have to judge a character on so far(with the exceptions of Varric, Cole, Leliana and Cullen) is how they look.

Agreed. But honestly, it was kind of hard to take this guy seriously when he started demanding stuff like "Bioware's elves must be like the elves from Nordic mythology because Tolkien based his elves on them". xD

I don't find Sera particularly attractive physically, but that's just my taste. I look forward to getting to know her and exploring her romance path all the same. I would describe her as having a button nose. As in 'plant kiss here' type of button.

As much as I love Tolkien (and boy do I love Tolkien), it's nice with some variety. Bad Tolkien rip offs have harmed the fantasy genre for decades.

Plus he's just your standard troll. He's both insulted characters (Called Solas an ugly bastard and said he wasn't elven enough because he was bald -- yeah, this guy has good arguments. And called Sera unattractive and said she had a pig nose) And people (called us Biodrones, also blatantly insulted Bioware employees right in front of Allan's face) so um... I'm just going to block him. because **** that.

Not in the actual character threads they don't, it's just trying to stir up trouble. If they want to complain about looks they should go make a thread in the feedback section.

But they don't have the right to scream and shout and demand things. They have no right to insult the fans or the devs. A lot of people voice their opinion and do so respectfully, that's great! But then there are a few who don't give a damn about other peoples opinion, and they are the ones that I can't stand. 

 

I'll defend anyone's right to voice their opinion, but I won't stand for when they are just being dicks about it.

It's fine not to like how a character looks. I can understand that. But the argument basically went

 

'I think she's ugly'

'I think she looks fine'

'She's ugly! Can't you see that?'

'I still think she looks fine'

'OMG you suck so much'

'Hey!'

'Bioware suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks!'

 

Yeah, arguing taste is the fast lane to nowhere.

They should know what they're getting into if they go into a character appreciation thread and start being jerks. (this wasn't normal criticism, this person was being hostile with their remarks). It still amuses me that they act all surprised when their assholery isn't welcomed with open arms.
