And now you've ruined those romance scenes with Female Hawke for me, because honestly, Varric motorboating her is far more sexy than most of what the actual romance options (save Isabela) end up doing...

It's opposite for me. I've actually planned out two Mage play throughs for this game. I usually don't like playing mages.
Even if Varric is not gated to humans or elves, or Qunari even (very doubtful but I'm just using it as an example) my dwarves will be canon with him always.

Now for the mages which I rarely ever play and don't really like playing too much. I've got one planned out for Sera (Elf Mage) and for Vivienne if she is a bi LI (human female Mage). But, if Solas is an LI... I will probably run another Mage. Probably another elf.

For me, I want Varric paired up with dwarves because I love dwarves . They're my favorite to play as and Varric is my favorite character it just makes sense :3

I'll play any class and any race, really. Which is sad, I guess that means I have nothing to sacrifice for Varric's love.

 

You could always use Bianca as a blood sacrifice

I will make myself play as a human if it means something like Varric wanting a hug only for the chest pillows at his face level. See Varric thats how much I care I'd play a human for you a HUMAN.

I do not like playing humans much if you can't tell xD
