Hey, threadfolk. Some great art here the last few days!
In other news, I'm still working on names for my qunari Inquisitrix, sadly, but I'm narrowing down to some hopefully interesting ones.

Well... one was 'Thame' - just because I kinda like it, even with the "heh, tame qunari, heh" thing. But then we have odd ones like Brónach, Líadan (or Líadáin), Nehir, Nekane, and Yeşim. Various interesting meanings at work.
I'm usually much better with names, but computer RPG characters seem so much more difficult for some reason.

To be honest, it sort of looks a bit silly to name the character with an overly meaningful name, if you see what I mean.
INQUISITOR: Oh, hi, yeah, that's my name. Oh, it means "fated to save the world and look good doing it, plus I'm going to totally bang that Dorian bloke", does it? What a coincidence! My parents were pretty smart!
In some ways, a name chosen because you like it, rather than what it means, sometimes seems a better choice. Unless, of course, it was a name the character chose, like an alias or a nickname. Indiana Adaar, anyone?
I like your ideas so far, Rel! Especially Líadan, for some reason. Maybe I think it looks cool written out. xD
Neat, I like them.
And I know what you mean. I'm trying to figure out a name for my male Kossith.
My female one isn't a word/meaning from the Qun. I was trying to invision her parents escaping it in every way while his still held on to certain things.
Mine isn't, either. Vitani is actually a Swahili word I got from a character in The Lion King.
And it's extra amusing because she's going to probably be my nicest Inquisitor, but the meaning of her name is "(I am) War". Yay irony. XD I just liked the sound of it.
Okay so I've been trying to draw my Inquisitors and I just can't. I can't do it without them suffering from safe face syndrome. So until the game actually comes out and I can get my hands on the CC to get every little detail I want down right I will not be putting them up like i thought I would. I can not draw anything without a reference it seems ![]()

I can always try to help if you want! On the other hand, we never know which options (hair styles, eye colors, ect) we'll get in CC so any drawings we make are just wishful thinking. ![]()

*laugh* Both my major characters have meaningful names, and yeah, you're probably right. But then, I always justified it as their parents having high hopes for them. Not "Save the entire goddamn world" high, but high.

Thank you but I will think I'll wait until we either get a CC demo or until the game comes out I fear if I draw my Inquisitors I'll become far to attach to how they look
So far I just have some key features I know my Inquisitors will have like having dreads on one of my Adaars, a bald Cadash and a Cadash with braids, and and Adaar with big facial scars and even that I fear is too much detail to get attached too. If that makes any sense^^;

I understand! But actually, I think all of those seem likely to be choices! The only thing I really don't have much hope for seeing is hair longer than shoulder length.

Other ideas I've had/just remembered/got from random name generators include Iseult, Ismet, Itzel and Isileth. There's a lot of i's going on right now for some reason! Oh, and also Arleth.

One thing I have realised about all those i names is that they would mean I could refer to my character as Izzy The Quizzy.
I'm not sure if that is a benefit or a hazard!
I think I shall try to create my Trevelyan today... and I think she shall be a rogue. *cracks knuckles*

Samaire is such a pretty name. What will she be (Dwarf, human, elf, Qunari)?

Does anyone know if Archive of Our Own lets you post on mobile? I applied to an account so I should have it by tomorrow but I wanted to make sure too >.>
