Honestly, you could see in DA2 that they were starting to run out of dog jokes. It was getting to be old hat. And it didn't really make much sense for a Marcher or an Orlesian to have a mabari. That's, like, the only thing that separates Fereldans from the rest of Thedas; the association with dogs.

I loved sarcastic Hawke in that DLC as well aside from what they said to Isabela about Galmen I wanted to beat my Hawke senseless for that since her and Isabela were in a relationship and that's how she acts to her girlfriend asking for help? Left a bad taste in my mouth. The rest of it though was fun
